Primes... I just got done watching the movie Contact. The alien message in that movie was sent in prime #'s. I wonder if this means anything. That all of us are primes?

1-10, in these references, are symbolic of ancient cosmology. The building blocks of everything material in the cosmos. They are related to the shape and symbols of all things created. It's what Plato taught. It's what the Druids lived. It's what the masons keep secret. They are the canons of harmonious living. Leonardo Da Vinci is one of the most famous students of these teachings who is currently in the mind of the mainstream.
Your friend is a FIVE. A marriage number. A symbol of justice and moderation.

Theresa you're right, the title was primes so it didn't click that 9 isn't a prime number.

I'm just asking you to think outside of the box for a moment. If there's something that can be added to make this a more intelligent topic, please, the floor is open. I'm still here, even if you talk around me.

I watched CONTACT last night. I had seen it twice before, but everytime I watch there's something more tangible about it.
Karl Sagan is the author of that story. There is a brief explanation in the movie, as to why numbers are a cosmic language. I will definitely be pursuing some of his books. I just recently picked up...
The Mythic Dimension: Joeseph Campbell The Fifth Dimension: John Hick A Sacred Primer: Elizabeth Harper Neeld The Sacred Portable Now: Daniel Singer & Marcella Bakur Weiner

4, 6, 8, 9 and 10 aren't "prime" in a mathematical sense if any of you care to know I think the term prime is used here as a "main pattern of life journey", or something, if you understand my meaning ^^;

Ah, finally a continuum in the numbers. Thanks for posting Seraph! Where are our 4's and 5's? Just on a side note for anyone interested... Look up the word continuum in the dictionary. I found it fascinating. Seraph, the number 6 is included at the top of this page.

You would be a 5. Just add the #'s in your birthday: 8+1+1+8+5=23=2+3=5

Hi Luz,
You are a 1. Your name and a brief explanation has been included at the top of the page.
The reason I posted this topic is inspired by many things, but most inspiring was feeling a connection to a new language.
I've always been one to talk and feel in words, music, and colour. I mostly walked around afraid of numbers, symbols, mathmatics, and patterns. I came across a book that, in short-form, gave me an overview of Plato, the Druids, and up to present day, the masons. They are some of the most ancient keepers of sacred cosmology.
I won't say anymore other than these teachings will come full circle, like a number 6. Starting with 3, and preparing for completion at 9. The prime numbers of ancient cosmology are the building blocks and true language of the cosmos. I encourage everyone here to research into the efforts of the ancient architects of the living canons.

Does this fall under numerology, or is this a completely seperate topic?
|
|
|
Post by djgirlcherise on Oct 17, 2005 18:36:48 GMT -5
no, I don't think it's numerology as defined by contemporary standards. It's the practise of the masons. It's the original shapes of the universe and the numbers given to them as a representation of their lifeforce. When these numbers are applied to the development of the cosmos, they are supposed to sing harmony.

My sister: 2 or 11 I think : 29/11/1987. Does it mean something different if the number is 11 before you add the 1's together to get 2? That is the case with a lot of other numerological derivations.

No, Jeremy.
The book I read, the inspiration for this topic, has nothing to do with personality definitions or anything beyond the numbers 1-10. I've mentioned the title and author twice in other recently posted topics. If my central library has it, it's likely yours will too. I would be so thrilled if someone would pick this book up, read it, and share their interpretation. I know you all have moments that keep you busy, but you wouldn't be disappointed with the outcome.
The name of the book is: The Dimensions of Paradise - The Proportions and Symbolic Numbers of Ancient Cosmology. John Michell
Indigirl - Thanks so much for participating. I wish for this book to come into your life.
