I received an interesting book for Christmas ("Color Decoder" by Dorothye Parker) and I just want to share some bits with you. I've translated them all so any small mistakes are mine. The book uses the color of the zodiac sign and the numerological value of your birthdate and name to combine three colors together which say something about your personality. I'll just show you how I've done mine and if you want to you can put your own colors down here too so that I can tell you more about that specific combination. I would find it interesting to see your results. First up is the zodiac sign. The list is as follows: Aries: Red. Taurus: Scarlet. Gemini: Orange. Cancer: Gold. Leo: Yellow. Virgo: Light green. Libra: Green. Scorpio: Turquoise. Sagittarius: Blue. Capricorn: Indigo. Aquarius: Violet. Pisces: Magenta. My zodiac sign is Aquarius, so my color is violet. Next up is the 'destiny color'. I was born on February 9th, 1989... so my count goes as follows: 9+2+1+9+8+9= 38 = 3+8 = 11 = 1+1 = 2. Now I look in the table to see what color belongs to the number 2. 1 = Red. 2 = Orange. 3 = Yellow. 4 = Green. 5 = Blue. 6 = Indigo. 7 = Violet. 8 = Magenta. 9 = Gold. I was a two, so my 'destiny color' is orange. And then finally I count the color of my name. This is my 'personal expression color'. 1 = A, J, S. 2 = B, K, T. 3 = C, L, U. 4 = D, M, V. 5 = E, N, W. 6 = F, O, X. 7 = G, P, Y. 8 = H, Q, Z. 9 = I, R. In numerological value, my full name is: 5+4+1+4+1+9+9+1+4+6+3+3+5+5= 60 = 6+0 = 6. Now I go back to the table of the 'destiny color'. The number of my name was six, so my 'personal expression color' is Indigo. We've now got three colors. In the book, I look up the first two colors (violet and orange). This is the description of that combination: "You are an artist". Your spiritual and intuitive characteristics are well developed. You are looking for the true meaning and purpose of life and your own role in this. With orange as your 'destiny color' you are creative and can't get enough of beauty. Your spiritual personality is a place in which your great artistic talents can grow.Under this description there are the explanations of the 'personal expression color' as it relates to the combination of the first two colors. My 'personal expression color' is indigo, and here is the description: Philosophy fascinates you. Not just the abstract theory, but mostly the way in which you learn how you can live. So you take your knowledge from both direct experience and books. Try to use this knowledge through your creativity. So there we go! ^-^ I hope you weren't bored or anything... I just thought it was fascinating, so I wanted to share this with you.

Interesting Althrielle. If everyone post their scores we can see if we on this board have similar colors.
Capricorn=Indigo
2+6+1+2+1+9+8+5= 34 3+4=7 Destiny color: Violet
1+0+9+1+3+1+3+2+4+2+5+1+8+7+1+3+1+1+4=57 5+7=12 1+2=3 = Personal expression color: Yellow

For you, Dimensional Leaf...
Indigo + Violet:
"You're a researcher." Light always seems to shine on the things we'd rather keep hidden. With your strong intuitive power and even stronger spiritual feeling you've got a born insight into deep mysteries. You live primarily in your head and often run towards your dreamworld when the harsh reality becomes too much to bear.
Expression color yellow: You're like the fresh wind of spring: you bring happiness and luck to everyone you get in touch with. The ones who see themselves as your friends protect you from everything else fiercely.

I did mine as well. I, too am an Aquarius, so I was violet. My destiny color was red (1) & my personal expression color is Red (1) as well. I found it odd that I had 2 of the same color, so I did my best friend's. His was Blue-magenta-blue. (sag-8-5)
Does it say anything about having 2 of the same color? Does that make it influence stronger or is it still the same?

Two of the same color makes sure that this color is very dominant in your personality. If your personality radiates too much energy, Jonna, it is wise to bring more green into your life because that is a complementary color to red. If your friend has got too much of melancholy and stuff, he might want to consider bringing more orange into his life. Anyways, on to the thingy. For you, Jonna... Violet + Red: "You're very sensitive inside." If you mix red and violet you get a deep sort of purple, which says that you are looking for answers to questions about the meaning of life and the existence of the soul. But with red as your destiny color, things such as surviving and physical plus mental stability are also important. The consciousness of your mortality supports your need for spiritual consciousness.Red as expression color: The combination of red and violet sometimes cause your male energies to get out of balance, which can sometimes give sexual problems. Solve any negative feelings you've got about this.-- For your friend... Blue + Magenta: "You're almost a saint." Magenta gives you the physical and mental strength you need in your life. As a higher spiritual energy, the characteristics of a magenta surrounding unconditional love are extraordinary. There is a similarity to the characteristics of love which are also given to saints. Learn to use this strength for your own well-being.Blue as expression color: The combination of your spirituality and sense of reality has made sure that you place your trust in a "higher purpose". You are convinced that everything in the world will someday become good.

Wow...I find this all very interesting. Yes, I do tend to "ground" myself with reality (& this often involves questioning my own premonitions), but I often find my "wild thoughts" come into reality anyway. The second part I found interesting because I was once told that "My female part was too strong" & caused dfficulties in relationships. Maybe I simply try to counteract my natural tendencies too much?LOL
As for my friend, I think his is off a bit. The only way he could be a saint is that he often THINKS he is a matryr! He is actually quite mischevious & finds himself in trouble, but he is well loved by those who know him. I thnk of him as a "Pan" character--without the flute, as he isn't musical!
He does believe in a higher purpose, but often asks for physical evidence without just believing from the heart--or at least that is what he vocalizes. It could also be he really feels this way but doesn't want to admit it.
I will suggest the orange to him--can this be in any form--even staring at an orange paper?

Yes, this can be in any form. What I find interesting is that though there are other things in the book, such as combinations which are not that spiritually involved... we here all have something which relates to intuition and searching for answers to the questions about life. ^-^

This subject really does intrigue me as well. I have studied numerology for quite some time, & when I have had intuitive sensations, I have always seen colors--even as a child, colors were how I related to things. For instance, when someone I know is angry, I will see a flash of red & if I call them, they will admit to having had an argument around that time. I have always found this odd; however, since my mother had an art major, I felt maybe it was something she passed on to me.
And it is true that many of our "earthly" teachings conflict with my intuition. It is often difficult to achieve a balance. Therefore, I have recently decided that I will follow my intuition because it feels more peaceful, even if it conflicts with earthly customs.
After all, what can more motivting than unconditional love? It does exist--it just takes time to find it & feel it....

Yellow + Yellow: "You know no fear." With this double yellow all characteristics and influences of this color are very strong. You take out of life what is in it and grab every opportunity to feel the life completely. On the outside you are very outgoing but never really too impulsive. You are courageous and intellectual and seldomly step away from challenges which question your strongest values and opinions.Expression color indigo: Because you are so involved in the lives of others, you are often touched greatly by pain and suffering. You think that it is important to find new ways to protect yourself against this so that you can stay valuable to others.I'd also recommend bringing a tad more violet into your life because you've got a double yellow.

11th Aug. 1988 1+1+8+1+9+8+8 = 36 3+6 = 9 1 = A, J, S. 2 = B, K, T. 3 = C, L, U. 4 = D, M, V. 5 = E, N, W. 6 = F, O, X. 7 = G, P, Y. 8 = H, Q, Z. 9 = I, R. Okay so... 1+1+4+5+1+3+9+4+5+2+2 = 37 3+7 = 10 So is that now a ten or does it go to a one? Sofar: Zodiac Colour; Yellow Destiny Colour; Gold And personal expression either a 1 or 10? Shed me some lights Alth? EDIT: Ah wait, It's a 1 right? So Expression is Red... I'm interested to see what that says..

Whieehw, Rad, here we go. Yellow + Gold: "You can handle anything." Yellow is connected to your nerve system and indicates personal responsibility to conquer and control your emotions. You can handle everything once you've accepted the negative aspects of your feelings and have let go of unsolved emotional cases. If you take control, you're just as fearless as a lion.Red as expression: A beautiful combination. You are motivated, talented and wise. Your greatest weakness is the temptation to deny someone else's wishes.

Hm...i'm the leo side of the cancer/leo cusp and my birthday came out as red o.o providing you add the 22 like 2+2 rather than 22, 22 is also a master number in numerology? So do I keep it as a whole actually it makes no difference...red either way unless i'm doing my maths wrong....Caerai also comes up as 1 O.o Sooo Zodiac: Cancer/Leo cusp which makes me gold-yellow Destiny: 1. Expression: 1 o.o

I think you add the two digits until they become a single digit number.. So the 10 goes to 1+0 = 1
... I think..

Owkay, here we go. Glad to see so much enthusiasm. @ Caerai: I'm taking both the Cancer and the Leo side in this. ^-^ See which one suits you better. Gold + Red: "You've got an inner fire." With gold as the color of compassion and wisdom you have been blessed with a healthy judgement and much personal warmth. The red destiny color is connected to the first chakra and to emotional things such as safety, security and survival. It will not be easy to conquer these things and you will meet many challenges along the way.Red as expression color: You are strong and determined and always finish everything you're doing. Don't get frustrated if others cannot keep up with you; everyone does it while using his own way.Yellow + Red: "You're very theoretical." Yellow and red are both primary colors, and when put together they make orange. All of these colors will influence your life. Others make a profit out of your vitality and you know exactly how to help them without doing too much. You're very intellectual and want to know everything about new discoveries. The thriving power of red pushes you towards even more success, but your fear for financial insecurity prevents you from doing this completely.Red as expression color: You're an optimist with a bottomless pit of energy. Don't force yourself, otherwise a nervous breakdown will be the consequence. Try to bring a little green in your life to provide some balance for your energy.-- @ Shae: Here you go. ^-^ Red + Yellow: "You're very good with money." With yellow inside of you, your happiness radiates off you. But your wanting of material possessions and the need to be successful in everything you do sometimes makes you blind for what is really important in life. You need to watch this temptation of yours because it can turn into an obsession.Indigo as expression color: Stop keeping people at a distance. If you constantly refuse them, you will be left with no friends. A human is a social animal and you're not alone with your views on life.-- @ pbonte: Here's your info. Gold + Gold: "You're a riddle." This combination helps you achieve your goal. While you connect with the higher spiritual powers, experiences and chances will test you to see if you really mean it. Through these tests your physical and emotional characteristics will go through a change and you will get to see the meaning of life.Violet as expression color: You cannot shut yourself down from the physical reality of life. Conquer your fear: it does not belong in your spiritual goals.Try to bring a little more indigo into your life if you feel that you've got too much of gold. -- @ Jen: Yellow + Gold: "You can handle anything." Yellow is connected to your nerve system and indicates personal responsibility to conquer and control your emotions. You can handle everything once you've accepted the negative aspects of your feelings and have let go of unsolved emotional cases. If you take control, you're just as fearless as a lion.Magenta as expression color: You care much about others but don't always take care of yourself well. You keep others at a distance and demand much of yourself and others. Sometimes you're bossy and put pressure on others in order to get what you want.

Heya Cherise! Magenta + Violet: "You're a pioneer." You possess dignity and a mentality which just keeps you going even if bad things happen. If you start with something, you finish it. You are concerned about the needs of others and where needed you sacrifice yourself for them, but you are not interested in speculations about their motives. You're always the first to come up with ideas and promote them.Gold as expression color: You have overcome your need to be perfect and know your limits. You now place realistic rules and goals in your life.
