I thought that some of you may want to try this tonight to increase your connection or simply be reminded of the power of the full moon....
Tonight's marks the year's fifth Full Moon and it falls in the sign of Scorpio. Traditionally, the time of the full moon passes over three days, with the exact full moon in the middle. It has always been believed to be a time when the natural, physical, psychological, sexual and astrological energies are in readiness for taking action, for harvesting the fruits of our labors and for the giving of thanks.
Tonight's (Friday 5/12/06) Scorpio Full Moon is an ideal time to delve deeply into your true desires (To fulfill the specific energies of each full moon, check for the sign of the moon.). It's a good time to ask if you are expressing your deepest desires or are you repressing them? Or to see if you are forging ahead in the right direction or if you have lost focus on your path.
Here's a suggestion for one way to engage and utilize the power of the full moon:
[/li][li]Schedule time to be alone and undisturbed in the evening. Go somewhere to see the moon -- even a window is fine. If it's impossible to see the moon, you can create a symbol of it for yourself: a floating candle in a bowl of water, a silver dollar in a bowl of water, or a drawing. Whatever works for you, will do the trick.
[/li][li]Set your intention. Do you want to honor your creativity through action, or to have the courage to acknowledge the unexpressed truth within you, or to ask for emotional or sexual satisfaction? Whatever it is, just be clear in stating your intent.
[/li][li]Light a white candle (in a fire-safe container on a non-flammable surface).
[/li][li]Do a visualization where you follow the light of the moon up to a safe, beautiful place where you will meet a guide. Allow yourself to have a conversation with the guide and get directions to achieve your intention.
[/li][li]When you've received answers, don't dismiss them. Write them down and let them sit. There may be more wisdom there than you recognize.
[/li][li]Take a moment to look at the moon in all her beauty. Give thanks for the help you've received, and for all your blessings, your challenges, and for your gifts.
This is a simple and effective way to stay rooted in the purposeful unfolding of your life, to place yourself in the flow of the natural energies, and to enjoy a moment of peaceful, intentional respite all courtesy of the powerful, delicate light of the silvered moon. Sometimes, it is the simplest things in life that bring the most pleasure & reward.
Love & light,
Jonna
