this kind of crap makes me want to move out of the country. the author is obviously very biased (trying to speculate as though it were fact), but also makes a lot of good points. www.alternet.org/rights/51150/anyway...guys...I've known for quite some time now that the US news media hides a lot of information from the public. a lot of this stuff gets out to the news in other countries. In the last week or so, I've started to realize to what extent this has been happening...and it's kind of sick. So I'm asking you guys that don't live in the US for a favor. when the US makes it to your news media, will you post a link? I want to see how much more I'm missing, just because I live in America. it would be appreciated. whenever I find something that isn't making it into the US media, I'm posting that here as well. stuff like this: freestudents.blogspot.com/2007/04/when-mass-killers-meet-armed-resistance.htmlit's really become a sick sort of situation over here. anyway...that's my rant for the night...feel free to comment... sorry if I jumped topics too much, it's about 1.30am

Will do, The only thing that's been in the news here about the US is the university massacre, and I'm pretty sure you'd know about that. The news media here right now seems more concerned about Sudan than US.

yes we did hear about that...like the second link I linked to mentions. but...I think we do miss a lot of details that are important...like that link also mentions. a lot of places around here have a no-gun policy...so the law-abiding citizens can't defend themselves, and those that don't care about the law know that they won't have resistance until the police arrive...which...how long will that be. and people around here are wondering why there's so many shootings lately. the shooters are seeing more opportunity. it's sad, but true.
I'm more interested in politics right now though...the war in Iraq, the Bush administration, etc. even if you have old links that are still up, I'm interested.
