There's something I gotta say I really don't like about all this publicity.
A) It's geared towards Indigos. ...What about the Crystals? B) Just like in the books, it seems very muchly geared towards speaking to/about children. What about the adults? ...I just don't like being talked down to/about...and that's kind of the tone I get from a lot of the books and articles...that these are young kids still in need of guidance and nurturing. I'm sorry, I get my guidance from my inner self and God. I'm 22, I don't need the nurturing. Empowerment maybe, but not nurturing. ...even at a young age, I don't think I needed nurturing as much, and from what I have seen from the other Indigos I've been around, they seem to be able to stand on their own feet fairly well...at least as far as their beliefs go and whatnot. C) I don't like how people bring in "professionals" ...doctors with degrees...to give their opinions of Indigos. The only professionals I have seen are those that ARE Indigos, or those that have surrounded themselves by Indigos and have seen enough to know that it's true.
...But I suppose I should stop complaining and just be glad that the message is getting out there? This is the start of awareness about us, I know...But I'm still sorta frustrated by it. The publicity has its pros and cons....it's good that the world knows we exist, but the media is (of course) leaving a lot out...I don't suppose there's much that the media can do to get around it though.
EDIT: maybe I shoulda put this in the CNN thread or my own thread, I dunno...this article didn't seem quite as bad as some of the others...and some of the books and stuff that I have read...but I am still frustrated by it all in general.

I really do have to agree Shae. Before I even opened this thread I didn't like the looks..
Biggest problem I have with most of it is how its being (Okay this article is an exception) used as a standalone label, targeted mostly, as you say, children. Whereas its an aura colour where there are loads of others.
But yes, its good a message is getting out. I think what gives me these problems with it though is the fact other people I've told about Indigos have dismissed it as "Make-believe" or something.
.. Hmm.. Could just be a fear of what people will think. I just hope people won't be too quick to judge.

oh, I get the feeling a lot of them'll be as quick to judge as I am judging how quick they're going to judge.
lol. ...but I hope many of them can see with opened eyes.
