How is telepathy developed? I used to have a friend who would accidentally send me telepathic messages when we were little. We found out that we were doing telepathy, so we began to have telepathic conversations during school. (We could even send each other the answers to our homework.)
We have grown apart but I notice that I still keep getting telepathic messages that people accidentally send... but I can't actually converse with anyone the way I could with my old friend. Also, sometimes I still get messages from my old friend but I don't think she knows she's talking to me... so I feel like I should block them...
Any thoughts?

Thanks. That school in Washington looks cool. Unfortunately, I live much too far away to go there... and I'm too old anyway. Hehe. But it looks great.

My best friend and I are a bit telepathic, I think. I mean, when I say something, she often says "yeah, I was just about to say the same thing!" But when we try to do it consciously, we fail tremendously. We tried to guess which color the other was thinking of, but we almost never guessed it. Honestly, I don't know how it works. I think that when you're close with someone, you're just so open to him/her that you might pick up what he or she's thinking. And apparently, in your case, the connection stays. You're very lucky that you can do it consciously-I seriously can't lol.

I know I'm a good receiver...but I'm not as good at sending...that or other people I try with aren't as good at receiving, or won't acknowledge it. I pick up on other people's thoughts all the time. ~shrug~
anyway, I don't know how it's developed, I think I've always had a knack for it...I didn't even used to acknowledge it myself.
if I were in your shoes, I'd send her a message back that basically says "I can hear you"
...do you have any idea if she can still hear you, without you realizing it?

I'm a good reciever but not a good sender. Or, as Shaelyn said, maybe the other people just aren't as good as receiving. I could never do telepathy consciously with anyone but my old friend. I've tried sending messages back to her when she accidentally talks to me but I think she either doesn't hear them or thinks she is imagining things. I have a feeling she can still hear me sometimes the way I can still hear her but the difference is that she thinks telepathy is "weird" and therefore tries to block it. There are a few people I know who seem to be able to pick up on my telepathic messages better than others but they don't know what it is, so they just sort of get a weird expression on their face and I stop sending them messages for fear of making them nervous. I still can't help but be able to "read" some people's minds really well... but I try to block it because it's not very polite.
