Hey everyone! Some of you may have heard of this already, it's featured on a very cool movie you should all see called "What the 'bleep' do we know?!?" Basically this is an article talking about experiments being done by a Japanese scientist that show our thoughts/impressions directly affecting the shape of water molecules. Please read this article before you continue reading this post: www.spiritofmaat.com/archive/aug1/consciouswater.htmlNow, the crystalized water molecule after having the world "love" on it is perfectly white/clear and perfectly semetrical. Now, if you look at the molecule for "hate" you'll see it's strangely shaped and discolored. I was thinking that maybe this corresponds slightly to how our auras work - when we're feeling hate, frustration, bad thoughts, is shows up in our auras as sickly yellow, gray, red, and black. When we have perfectly balanced and developed auras, they are supposed to turn semetrical and use white energy. In a way it mimics the behavior of water. I haven't read anything that makes this correlation, it just popped into my head and I was wondering what you guys think of it.

Hmm...that's a good question. And it raises other questions too. Like how do our feelings affect other physical objects besides water? And I wonder if our feelings affect ice or steam in any similar way.

Reading about how water is effected by our thoughts/impressions/expectations also re-minded me of something I read in the book "The Last Hours of Ancient Sunlight" by Thom Hartman. Thom at one point in the book talked about some study he read about inwhich Physicists found that particles only act like particles when the person viewing them expects them to! As if the particles were conscious of having an audience.

Kiva,
The particles that you are talking about I believe are light particles. Many scientists thought light was a wave like sound. Many others thought light was a particle. When they looked for evidence of it being a particle, they found it and when they looked for evidence of it being a wave... they found it. It all starts with belief. They believed it and they found it. Now light is called a particle-wave, I think.
I say what you desire most you must first believe and then live it like there is no alternative and it will be.

You're right, Uriah. Light is now considered as an electromagnetic wave or photon particles whether they act as a wave or a particle in some determined situation. In quantum physics, there is a "law" who states that the mere presence of the observer influences the results of the experiment. I don't remember that in detail but it was something in that way. Then, believe and you'll see

That's true, or Kiva was talking about Electrons, because electrons also behave in a wave/particle behavior.
See, scientists have been in question as to just what shape the electrons make around the atom - first it went by energy levels or "rings", then it was a perfect sphere, then it became a cloud, now it's kinda both. Scientists finally came to the conclusion that they'll never know the true behavior of an electron and this is why - because an electron is so small, the light reflecting from our eyes that allow us to view the electron (through cameras, microscopes, etc.) affects its direction and behavior. Therefore, there is no sure way to tell just where an electron is at any given second, or what its natural behavior is, because it is so far impossible for us to observe.
Learned that from my 10th grade chemistry chemistry teacher - who woulda thought? lol.

Ahh! We're gettin' into Quantum Theory now ;D I am willing to bet that when quantum theory is eventually completely understood, the knot between science and spirituality will finally be tied. They believed it and they found it. Now light is called a particle-wave, I think. The word you are looking for is "Photon," i.e., light is photonic.

Hey, CM!
You are right, we are now speaking about probabilities now, where electrons at a particular level (or energy) are forming a cloud of points, but at an other level, it is an another form of clouds. We are never able to know precisely the position AND the energy of an electron. We can know precisely only one of these two, but never the both, in fact not as precise as we would like it to be. That's why we are speaking about probabilities. The influence of the observer and of the light used to determine the structure of atoms is also adding up to the probability.
IndigoPhoenix, I share your opinion, because quantum physics makes me think of what masters are telling us from the beginning of times! ^_^ I'd almost say that our consciousness is our best tool to know the world around us, better than any particle accelerator ! Sure, training is required... heehee

I can't wait until I'm an old woman and quantum physics is better accepted - for a while I kept trying to explain it to my dad and why so much of quantum physics supports and even proves psychic phenomena, but he just passed it off as "Bah, quantum physics, that's all experimental." ' *explodes from frustration* Does anyone here know about synergism? It's a bit like the whole is greater than the sum of its parts - when maybe three people focus on something and pray, the force that comes from it is not three times stronger, but rather a hundred times stronger. I'm reading about it now, it's very interesting.

Yup CM, I've heard of that. It is the same principle as holograms. Every part of hologram contains the whole information of the hologram, but the hologram is more precise when every part is there !
The whole is bigger than the sum of its parts. It is maybe the secret of God ^_^
Yeah, it is true, it is still experimental, because it is not yet applied to everything in our lives. Patience, CM, the time will come!

Yes, what I was talking about was electrons, not light. Thom talked about how physicists did studies on electrons and found that the electrons only acted like particles when they were watching, and not all the time.
Yes, I've also heard of synergism but don't know much about it.
