Hey,
I've had a period where I really REALLY wanted to be able to do astral projection. Of course it didn't work. I guess I was just too eager. I kind of gave up. A couple of months ago something kind of scary happened. It was the middle of the night and i guess I was half awake. Suddenly I couldn't move and it seemed like something was trying to pull me out of my body. I tried to scream, but my voice didn't work. I was really scared and just wanted it to be over. And it did pass, and now I'm kind of reluctant to try astral projection again. And a couple of weeks ago I was half awake again and I just felt myself drifting off over the ground. Luckily this experience was a bit less scary. Of course it could be that I was just dreaming, but some say dreaming and astral projection are the same, so I don't really now what to think of it.

to be ONE with God, we have to experience the full range of experiences. so see those scary events as learning. I had lots too, especially when going through a "timeline shift" (new and "better" places, people, times, things and events manifest). www.azuritepress.com/techniques/Maharic.htm start the healing process, you don't have to memorize the whole symbol, just feel and intent it's there if that's what you like. you know you're doing it right. www.azuritepress.com/techniques/attitudes_responsibilities.htmlto learn things like astral projection, there is a beautiful course. www.probablefuture.complease take enough time to integrate all 'new' information. you don't have to understand it right away, just keep calm and have happy thoughts <3 M

Sleep paralyis is often mistaken for a 'failed' astral projection, demon attack, ghost/alien encounter, psychic attack, near-death experience, etc, etc. It's actually quite a natural thing.
Usually a person will wake up 'halfway', experiencing bizare sensations such as seeing through their eyelids, feeling like something is sitting on their chest or constricting their breathing, hearing whooshing sounds or screams, being unable to move or talk, hearing their heartbeat or breath racing or pounding, and tingling, falling, or floating sensations. Often people will report seeing monsters, an image of Death, or feeling as if something is watching or attacking them and they are unable to defend themselves.
This is actually caused by exhuastion or waking too suddenly when you haven't gotten enough sleep! The body releases a chemical that paralyzes you during REM sleep. This assures that you won't act out your dreams or sleep walk, possibly hurting yourself or others in the process. When you wake up normally, another chemical returns your bodily control to you.
However, at the exact moment of falling asleep or waking up, it's possible to become conscious while the chemical is still in effect. This locks you between dreaming and waking, and causes the weird experiences. The sounds are often caused by blood moving through the head (like hearing the sea in a shell) or imagination (because of the brain's half-dreaming state). The dream-like state also explains the visual hallucinations, despite the fact that your eyes are still closed tight. The tightness in the chest and the inablity to move are caused by the chemical itself.
While it can initially be an extremely scary thing, sleep paralysis can also be kind of interesting once you get used to it and learn how to control it (I've experienced it several times, each time with a little more understanding and control... it's actually the perfect time to practice astral projection, as the body is ready for dreaming but the mind is fully awake and can control it's connection without being distracted by the physical world).
If you want to get out of it though, the best thing to do is not panic and try to move -- because you can't. Start by trying to flutter your eyelids, then try to move your cheeks or lips and move from there. Usually this will get you out right away. Also, hearing sounds (like someone talking to you) or having something touch you will immediately jolt you fully awake. To prevent it, just get enough sleep!
...wow, that was a long explaination. Sorry! Hope it was helpful/informative!

Ok, I think it's definately sleep paralysis, I recognise other symptoms too. At night, I don't experience it that much, but when i'm really tired and I take a nap during the day, I always suffer from it, especially the falling experience and seeing trough your eyelids, which is very weird.

Prepare for more awareness. Pulsations are reaching the Causal Body at a much more rapid pace.
