Usually I remember between 2 or three a week.

I'd say, I'm about the same. Just snippets though, not usually a whole movie's worth. Yet!

I remember dreams about once a month, but I never remember just snippets, I normally remember the whole thing, which often somehow lasts longer than the time I was actually asleep.

I put 7 a week.
I pretty much always remeber at least one of the dreams I have every night of the week, but often time I will remember a couple a night. It's always been like that, I feel very connected to my dreaming.

I remember like five to six a week, but if I don't write them down sometimes they'll fade away to almost nothing. But I do remember them. ^_^

I'll go a couple of weeks without remembering a thing, and then suddenly have 2-4 nights in a row where I'll remember my dreams. Sometimes I'll just remember a snippet or two, sometimes just the feel of it, and sometimes a string of a movie.

I usually remember fragments of at least one dream everynight, but because of certain habits i have trouble remembering more than just fragments. Although there will also be times when I go several days without remembering anything.

I remember just about every dream(s) I have every night. I can even recall dreams that I've had, going back years to when I was very young. I've wanted to write them down in a journal, but they're too detailed for me to put into words. I also seem to remember them in reverse. Do you think that's normal?

Usually once every night. Sometimes fragments of another.

Oh, yes I go through stages. I go for a couple of months without remembering any dreams and then I'll remember two or three dreams a night for a fortnight or so. I suck at estimating the average in that kind of situation so I probably voted lower than I should.

Do you think that's normal? what is normal? Ever since I started keeping a dream journal I remember multiple dreams per night.

I personally avoid using the word "normal" when it comes to people in general ^^ And I blank it out when I hear others say normal or ordinary people There really is no such thing!

I find that the more I write down a dream, the more I remember from it, and the more I start remembering other dreams I had also during that night... Lol. So what I anticipated as being a quick "jot down a dream" ends up being half an hour of adding in little details. I too remember dreams from way back, I can even remember some from when I was 2 and 3. Hehe, aah dreams, so wonderful. ^_^

It tends to vary for me. If I take my time to wake up and am hydrated then I tend to remember my dreams everytime I wake. Perhaps, not in full detail but the bigger peices. I suppose on average it would be about two or more.

That's a great point, Uriah. You wouldn't think so, but the body sweats out a lot of water while we sleep. It helps to rid the body of toxins. I think that's a great method for people to use to remember more of their dreams... More water. I'll definitely try a glass before I go to sleep, and see how it effects the quality of my dreaming moments.

Yes indeed, if you wake up with a dry mouth and are deadly thirsty then getting a glass of water is all you can think of when you wake. You get shoved into this physical world very fast. Also, don't drink too much water as it may interrupt your dreaming experience with a gushing waterfall!

Aagh, I've started dreaming every night again, and rather embarassing dreams. For the second time ever last night I remembered what I wore in a dream (in this case grey tweed trousers and a dark blue t-shirt). I'm not counting those dreams of being butt naked in some public setting (I've had too many of those to count) even though they could be considered as dreams where I remember what I wore.

I remember all of my dreams, every morning I remember 4-5 dreams. But I remember them reverse just like Sebastian! I remember colours, fragrances, touches, and music. My dreams are very vivid.

The amount I remember vary from week to week, but usually three to four is the average. Some are more vivid than others, and these are usually the important ones so I write them down. I used to write them down every time when I first started recording my dreams, but now I'm a bit lazier since I've realised that if I can't remember them very clearly, then they can't have been important.

I usually see things, or think of something that seems random at the time but is actually connected to the dream, and I'll remember different parts.
This doesn't happen all the time, but usually, somehow, I can tell what is important and what isn't. A general trend with my dreams is that the themes are important, rather than the specific details. That's not to say that I don't try to record things as specifically as I can, but now that I've started trying to examine themes rather than specifics, I can begin to pick out connections.

It's amazing but since I have made a concious effort to remember my dreams I have gone from rarely remembering them to remembering at least one or two a night and often more. I have read and found it to be true in experience that movement will cause you to forget your dreams. ... . .thus if we do remember in the morning we often forget within minutes or hours of beginning our daily routine. I have begun looking up my dream symbols every morning and I am amazed at what I am remembering (long term) and what they seem to affirm or inform about! It's sooo cool! I can't wait to get better at this! BTW, I asked Laurel this in another thread but what if anything does anyone know of fuzzy spheres? A few weeks ago I had a night of very real, very vivid dreams that I forgot almost instantly upon waking. (the instant my feet hit the floor) I remember my journey exactly though. .. it was like taking a behind the scenes tour to the secrets of the universe. .. . but I lost all the secrets! One image remained with me and when I focused on it and tried to remember more all I got were the words "fuzzy sphere." Can't believe I lost the secrets of the universe because I had to get up and pee! ; )

I'm slowly starting to remember more now that I'm used to this place. This morning I think I would have remembered enough to make a movie out of, and ran through it in my head... but with the Japanese speaking exam and going shopping afterwards I've managed to forget!
