I had this dream 2 nights ago, and I still remember it as though I had just woken up from it.
My mom was driving her car, I was in the front seat, and it was just the two of us on this long stretch of a two-lane road. There were open fields next to us, with the occasional hills, spread for as far as you can see. The sky was a brilliant blue. ...and then suddenly, up ahead, there was a really dark cloud. and I mean DARK, like awful thunderstorm. IRL, there was once a mesocyclone over my school, when I looked outside it was pitch black in mid-day...I compare it to that. the darkest of dark clouds.
the cloud was also ON THE GROUND, like fog...only it wasn't fog, it was a dark thundercloud...and then it whisped up on the left side, just next to a hill. This cloud spanned across the road. I said, "Mom, stop, STOP! Just pull over!" I knew there was no way she would be able to see through the cloud to drive. She pulled over, and the cloud quickly swept over us, and was gone in an instant. ...I'd say we were in the cloud for a whole two seconds. But there were more.
The next cloud was above ground, but still over the road...and then we saw a car going the opposite direction as us, going over the hill on the left, off-roading to pass the cloud. I thought, yeah, that guy's got the right idea...so we went off road too, on the left side, the same way the guy went. ...only on the other side of the hill was a tornado. It picked us up, I was screaming...my stomach was lurching around...ugh!
Next thing, I had woken up in a bed, like at a hospital, but the room was actually comfortable, more like home. This deafening chop of a helicopter got louder and louder and louder...and I thought, "it's Mom! She's finally recovered!" (I kinda had the feeling she was terrified of heights after the tornado, and a helicopter ride would be too much for her.) So, I stepped out front, which looked like a hospital...and there was a helicopter, right there, its nose tilted down towards me. I was happy for my mom. And then...the helicopter started swaying back and forth...and then started going down. I screamed, "NOOOOO!" ...as the helicopter went down, I could see a silhouette of my mom in the helicopter (skinny...and my mom IRL is not that thin lol), and she was twirling around like a ballerina (only the outside was like a real helicopter, the inside was quite different, and she had plenty of room.) She had gone insane...and I realized that was the only way she got in the helicopter in the first place.
There I woke up at about 4:30 AM lol...not the time I wanted to wake up at when I had a final to take in a few hours. It wasn't very hard to fall back asleep though, surprisingly. Usually if I have a tornado dream, I don't get swept up in it, and I can't fall back asleep for the life of me.
Anyway...any thoughts?
