I *know* this dream has a meaning behind it, I just can't figure out what it is...I've gotten a couple of interpretations, neither of them I was satisfied with.
So, I invite ya'll to help me with this riddle.
sorry for the length of the post...it's very detailed.
ok...our house was tiny, in the middle of this orangish-brick path, in a valley surrounded by tall golden grasses. if you were looking from the house straight forward, to the right was these beautiful majestic mountains, and to the left was an evergreen forest, not far beyond the grasses. behind the house, the orangish-brick path continued on, and the mountains curved around in the background. I'm not sure if the bright yellow trees I will mention later in the dream where here or not...I think they might've been, but since I don't remember I won't mention them further until I'm sure they appear again.
so, I was looking at the mountains (for I think the first time), and I excitedly announced, LOOK! SNOW!!! ...the mountains were capped with snow. I thought it was sooo cool.
...later, I was walking, and I thought I saw a street in the mountains...and I thought, huh...we can drive up there. ...but there was water dripping from the street...I thought that was odd. then...it was raining in the mountains. but the rain didn't touch the tall golden grasses. then I realized...wait...it's not a street...it's a river!!! oh crap!
I had to run fast with my dad back to the house, along the orangish-brick path...then we got off the brick and walked on the hills (which were muddy), through a couple of trees in that evergreen forest...and then the river cut right by us, as it was doing so, it split--half of it went down the brick path, and half of it went up over the hill right beside me, and met the other half of the river just on the other side of the hill.
the dream takes a shift here....it's sorta combined what was previous with what is real. At this point for sure, if not before, I kinda felt like my mom was dead. (In real life, she's not.)
we have moved...but, my house was the same house as described before...only it's moreso located in my real cul-de-sac. ...the alleyway next to my house has become a river, and the cul-de-sac a lake. ...but the house next to mine was really the house across the street.
I was inside my house at one point...but I don't remember it much, for what happened before and what happened after.
...I walked out front, I was going to see my old friends again...see if they were still alive, still around. But...the scene stopped me in my tracks.
A reflecting pool.
In real life, my mom has been to canada, and she took pictures of reflecting pools while she was there...the mountains behind reflected perfectly. She was moved to tears.
In my dream, I had to struggle to not cry...thinking of her, and seeing this amazing sight.
The trees here, immediately reflected, were bright, BRIGHT yellow. the pool was totally still...and for whatever reason, the mountains previously in the dream were back, taking place of the house.
So I got my digi cam and tried to take pictures...and it would NOT work for the life of me. I wanted to take them "for mom." ...But...no. I would push the button, and wait (it'd normally take a second to shoot)...but this took like, 5 seconds. The moment I would move the camera to see what was wrong, it'd take...every damn time. Then the wind kicked up, so the pool got ripples, and golden-yellow leaves would fall into the pool.
I looked through the pictures in my camera...the one of the still pool would never take...I only had ripples in the lake.
Ok, fine. then I took a boat over to my friend's house (the mountains mysteriously disappeared) ...and now the trees were green, and split down the middle...two of them.
Here the dream shifts again.
I'm with my brother, walking down a street (which I have seen in previous dreams before, one recently in fact...I recognized it as a street I lived on)...and the last four houses next to the busy street were SO COOL. I told him, I'd like to get to know the people that live in these houses...they are SO COOL. they were all very colorful and very beautiful...dark greens and maroons and things. he asked, well, what about that house (the 5th one.) I said, nah, that one's kinda boring ...it was kinda square...and it was kinda a dirty white.
Some of these people were cooking out front, some were reading newspapers, some had no signs of life outside.
...the whole street was lined with ginormous-tall trees, planted between the sidewalk and the street...and that's not to mention the trees in people's yards, which were just as big and beautiful.
one guy had a swingset out front, with wooden chairs that are more like patio furniture than swings. Bert got up on the back of one of them, stood up and started swinging. oh my god. this was a tall swingset, and in no time he was swinging as high as the tallest part of the swingset itself...up with the treetops. first I pleaded with him to get down...and begged and pleaded...it wasn't his own personal swingset!...he was gonna break it...then eventually I started to make a crack about how he could let go and fly over those trees over there (the "trees over there" were the same bright golden-yellow trees mentioned previously in my dream) and land in the street...I was amazed he could swing that high...but before I could say anything about it...he fell. straight down...and bounced when he hit the ground...oh my god. is he ok? first he acted like he was in real pain...I thought he might have broken something...then he said, this scratch wasn't here before (on his hand, curled up like a fist)...this scratch wasn't here before...like he was ok...
at that point, I woke up.
...the things that really were pointed out to me were the yellow trees, and the splitting of things--the split river as it passed me, and the split trees in front of the house (definately the river moreso).
...my friend suggests it's related to an earth change that might be coming.
I looked up dream moods...it told me about things like trees and rivers, but not things that split or colors.
So, I invite ya'll to help me with this riddle.
