Hello all who read this, now fasting is a good way of purifying the body and mind, but it has to be done carefully and with consideration.
I recommend fasting for two days, but it can be done for three or even four. Tell your doctor that you plan on fasting and they will recommend against it.
During the fast, one should start in the morning and eat no food BUT always drink water or fruit juice constantly throughout the day.
To End the fast. One should only consume fruit, and then only vegtables, and then a base diet of grain or pasta...and only then if you eat meat, should you eat meat.
You can do all the above on one day, but be gentle on your stomach.
If I have missed anything out, I will add it on here.

Okay.... Two days ago I was talking to a Muslim about fasting and Ramadan. Yesterday I talked to both Arya and a friend about fasting, independently of each other and them bringing it up. Now you write a topic on it - why do I keep stumbling across fasting??? Thank you very much for posting this topic, I was considering fasting and I guess you just happened to feel like writing something on it. I think your information makes a lot of sense, I'll remember it when I start. ^_^

Waterjag,
Thanks for the information. I've never thought about fasting so far (not sure I would be able to), but if I start I'll remember what you've said.
