And then that never ends...then that never ends...then that never ends... OK. Lines span out in infinite directions from a single point. Now, from each of those lines, a quantum unit down the line, spawn another infinity. Keep going from each of THOSE spawns. But don't forget to go back to the first generation and all its infinites. FATHOM ALL THE INFINITIES. Infinity to the infinite power, to the infinite power, to the infiinite power, for INFINITY, for INFINITY, INFINITELY, AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! and that's only A FEW INFINITIES, WHEN THERE ARE INFINITE OF THEM. AND INFINITE OF THOSE!!! I wish words worked. Take a marble. Now put infinite marbles inside of it. But in each of those infinite marbles, put infinite marbles inside of those. ahh, infinity. gotta go.

Riddle me this. A point is an infinitely small point in space. Which would imply that an infinite number of points lie on any given line. So if you are traveling from destination A to destination B, how do you ever arrive if you have to cross an infinite number of points in space to get there? ?

Wow, ninth grade geometry all over again! I think infinity is easier to think about when you let go of the concept of space, time, and measurement. For instance, the number "2" has a finite connotation, and so if you compare it to something like infinity it's mind boggling. But when you skip numbers and compare infinity to the imagination, not so unfathomable anymore, huh? I just thought that was interesting. And the answer to indigo pheonix: you wouldn't have to cross any points if your mind could connect A and B together. There's one for you to think about. ^_^

hmmmmmmm....interesting
i like that explanation, you're right, i find it much easier to simply visualize infinity, than to actually attempt to map it out.

I think the best impression of infinity was when one of my guides showed me "the void". The void technically isn't infinite because it isn't anything but it is a good way to demonstrate infinity because once you're there you can feel that there is no "other side" or anything comforting like that, there is only what flows from your mind when you're there, and I found that I didn't like as much of what flowed from my mind as one would expect.

What I was saying is that there are infinite infinities, and infinite infinite infinities, and infinite infinite infinite infinities, and an infinite of those, and an infinite of those... from every quantum point you have a new infinity, but that infinity forms second generation infinities infinitely, and those infinities do the same thing, this is hard to explain.. anyways... this is kinda what happens to me every time i get asked a question, or ever time i consider possibilities or anything... i usually give people weird responses when asked questions..i know i am such a weirdo to everyone. i wish icould understand/explain this.

I have a question for everyone. Could someone please start a link on the best metaphysical movies ever made? I'm such a movie head! Perhaps, it could be like:
1.) List your 3 favorite metaphysical movies, and give a one-line synopsis of why it's worth watching.
Thanks very much!

I love fractals! They are way cool.
Newsociety: I also can give weird responces when asked questions by others. Of course they are not weird responces to me just to the people I'm giving them to, unless they think like me and can understand my logic.

Cherise - three favorite metaphysical movies of all time, hm? Well, ones more of a documentary centered around a kind of story, it's called "What the 'bleep' do we know?" the other one is a movie called "Phi" (like the math symbol) and I think my third favorite is called "Contact" and it's basically centered around the concept of how do you prove something to someone when the only proof you have is inside yourself? They're all very good movies, have you seen any of them?
NewSociety: I actually found that pretty funny, lol, I know exactly what you mean, and the concept does kinda remind me of fractals in a sense. Fractals are awesome, hehe.

Hi Crystal Maiden,
Thanks so much for responding!
I have seen all three.
What the Bleep Do We Know: Favorite scene, and the hardest for me to decipher, when the kid is playing basketball.
Pi or Pie: Most memorable scene, when he uses the electric screwdriver.
Contact: Definitely one of my all time favorites. The scene on the beach seemed anti-climactic, yet most profound.
My Top 3:
Documentary: STAR DREAMS- (I don't know where it's available. Best to google it.) The most comprehensive research, and mind-blowing footage of cropcircles, ever seen in one sitting. WOW!
Movie: WAKING LIFE- Have to watch it several times to retain dialouge. Powerful and necessary. A very important movie to study. (check out the many websites)
Movie: KISSED (Canadian made) - This film is not in my top 10 of all time favorite movies. However, it does explore a delicate topic worth mentioning because I've never seen anything else like it. In a very mature way, it explores death, sex, the soul, the last moments of a soul hovering on Earth, and how the passage can be made easier. It's very intelligent, bordering on genius.
Please everyone, share movies not listed so far.

Not sure I have three top metaphysical movies, but I have atleast one.
1. Final Fanasty: The Spirits Within: Discusses various metaphysical topics in a fictional setting. These topics include life after death, aliens, having a soul/life force.
I want to see "What the Bleep Do We Know?" but have not had the chance yet.
CM: Is the "Contact" you're talking the one about space and contact with aliens or is it a different one?

I saw "What the 'bleep' do we know?" during my philosophy class last year... it was great. I found it extremely interesting, especially the part about Dr. Emoto and his water experiments. Imagine... if we take a water bottle around with us and tape a piece of paper that says "Happy" and leave it on overnight, when you drink the water, it'll help our moods immensly, lol.

Very interesting about Dr. Emoto's experiments. Reminds me of like Israelite trial-water (the ultimate truth serum: you are able to lie while under it's influence but you drop dead the moment you do so) My favourite movie is Whale Rider. It doesn't explicitly explore metaphysical issues, more, it is made with the understanding that what western culture denotes as "spiritual" is in fact just as much a part of our lives as eating breackfast or working from 9 to 5.

Whale Rider is a fantastic movie, Jeremy. It is about metaphysics at it's core; The legend of spiritual whales, and the traditions of generations altered in evolution.

can you change from finite to infinite and change from infinite to finite

It's late and I ought to be home now But Finite to infinite is through dividing one ( a whole number ) by seven or by using irritational numbers from whole numbers by becoming dependent on the love of another to independent on the love of oneself to inter pendant to the love of all by moving through one moment of time
To change from infinite to finite by stating the concept infinite in finite terms by being aware of what you are feeling by using now to transmute against the laws of nature such as buying something with a ten note and getting lots of heavy coins as change, lighter becomes heavier, but ought to become lighter still

I gotta say, the "Happy" label written on the bottle seems more like an experiment a psychology student would do

a good way to describe illustrate infinity i think, would be a square. divided into say 4 more equal squares, each square also divided, each square divided, each square divided, till infinity. or a square, divided into infinitiy equal parts, each square divided........ also infinity is an impossible concept to grasp. as its ever growing. not even the highest point of consciousness (God) would be able to grasp it, which is why it's interesting to be God. it/we're FOREVER imaging a greater image of itself/ourselves and becoming that!! so even when you reach enlightenment, the game is far from over. it will never be over. curiousity will always exist. imagination is limitless. potential is unlimited...... heheheheheeheheeh

For something to end, it had to have began. So did infinity begin? Im begining to think that time is just something we came up with, and doesnt really exist at all. However, then how are certain ghost actions recorded into walls? Its all very confusing.
