Hey everyone!
So I finally contacted my spirit guide and had a nice chat. Turns out his name is Hox (I'm sure that's not his REAL name, but I've had "Hox" as an imaginary friend since 7th grade.) The body he appears to me in has long blond hair, muddy brown eyes, and a thin/goateed face. He lived once during "pirate" times - not sure if he was one or not.
Who's your spirit guide(s) and what are they like? I have three more but haven't spoken to them in detail yet.

well, so my pendulums have told me, I have five spirit guides--a dragon, a dolphin, a faery, a human, and geez I can't remember the last one, LOL. (EDIT: it was an elf) Anyways...the wierd thing is, I had a dream (the one everyone knows of) where I was talking to a man in a mall, and had such an interesting experience afterwards...and one of those pendulums told me that man I was talking to was actually the dragon spirit guide...and that he can shapeshift. However, one of the other two pendulums I have used has told me otherwise.
At this point, I'm trying to figure out how much full of crap pendulums are...or if the one I have now is actually being honest with me. Both have told me I have 5 spirit guides, though.
...So anyways, to my knowledge, I hadn't been in contact with any of mine. EDIT: I have done one meditation where I saw a beautiful elven woman in a mirror...I have no idea if that was that elf spirit guide my pendulum spoke of, or a reflection of my inner self.

My animal spirit guide is an elephant, A giant, kind, and super intellegent elephant that lumbers behind me. He has now name that i know. In fact we don't speak, there is just a empathetic relationship, no words are needed. His prescence helps me know that I am protected and guided at all times. I love visualizing him walking behind me when I go into situations that make me uncomfortable. Imagine if you saw a small girl like me walk into a party with a giant elephant behind her, would you be so quick to judge her I haven't met my spirit guide yet, but thats to come later. My older sister sees her spirit guide in the form of Big Bird and just imagines herself wrapt in all his yellow feathers when things get tough. i think that is awesome.

Lol, that's so cool! I've found out that your animal guide is also called your animal totem, mine's a wolf. =) I've been obsessed with wolves my entire life, and when I'd get lonely I'd imagine a wolf coming over to snuggle with me. I only recently discovered that the wolf was actually a protector of mine, haha!

I know that a few of my totems are a cardinal, a black stallion, a cardinal, and an orca. I learned from a person that helps you journey that the cardinal was there to teach me to speak out and get more courage in front of people.

I don't know who is my spirit guide, I have my protective saint here by my side, she is Gemma Galgani, and sometimes she helps me, I feel her healing embrace. But when I paint, I hear someone else's voice, and she/he guides my hand. There was a painting which I wanted to tear apart, and my spirit held my hand. If I wanted to use my hand, I could do it, but I knew that my guiding spirit wanted me to continue the painting. So I did. It is one of my best paintings.

Hey Gemma,
That is a cool story. What will you do with your artwork? Do you have a series of collections? What tools are you using to create your arwork?

That's really cool, Gemma! I'd love to see your paintings sometime. If there's a way you can get them online, a great website to share art at is www.deviantart.com. I hope you're able to share them with us some day! =)

I have three spirit guides that I know of. One of them is called Jimbi, he looks like a young man but with white hair. Another is an alien with no name. My animal guide is a mouse. I often meet Jimbi or the alien when I astral project to this place called the Travellers' temple of knowledge, but I've also met them both at other places. The mouse is partly a spirit guide and partly a part of myself.

I have an Angel - or a Spirit guide as you wish.
It's a man and he can take any shape he wants and any shape I want him to. He's been with me ever since I was born. He has no name, in the real from where he comes from, such things as names and measurements are not important. It's an energy, a familiar enegry.
I talk to him every day and listen to his advices. I am also deeply in love with him and I know that I will meet him again after this life.

Without sounding wierd...I don't think I have one -_-. I astral travel alot, and have never met him, her, it...whatever. As a child though...I had two twins one boy one girl, a man, and a Roc (Giant medieval bird) it had bright red feathers, and I used to fly around on it Or so I thought...I really probably just climbed up somewhere high and jumped off ;p

The stars guide you all,
Hmm as far as I know I have one at this point, a small fae dragon whose name is Cresent. *giggles* She's a pest at times, but she's also very wise and guards me well. I have yet to find out if I have any others, though at this point I don't know of any.
The stars keep you all till next we meet.

Both my spirit guide and my totem are wolves- the same being. I do not know his name, so I call him Friend. The wolf, all of its tendancies, accuratly describe me.
Crystalmaiden, that's interesting you would have a wolf as your spirit guide, because wolves, although they are loving, are not 'snuggly' animals, and can be ferocious as well, although they are loving towards thier pack. You being a Crystal Child, I would have expected something more docile.
Love and light,
Nimue

Haha, what can be more ferocious than a spirit guide protecting its student? Mine has destroyed the front end of a car protecting me (you'd think it had been run over by a tank looking at it afterwards). And what animal will not fight earnestly when it sees fit? CM is very benevolent, but I wouldn't consider her docile for even a moment.

Hmm. Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations of resources (books, methods, etc.) for information on how to find my animal totem? (Having looked on an animal symbolism page I have a few hunches.. wondering if there is any way of verification)

oh, finding out is easy, you just meditate and not even think about totems and what they could mean, and when you're meditating deeply enough, call your totem to the front of your mind. I have an idea what yours might be but I would rather you find out yourself than just tell you (and you're more likely to get it right than I am). I look forward to hearing what yours is. --edit www.geocities.com/RainForest/4076/index1.html has some very helpful information once you find your totem.

I've been told by many people my totem animal is a platypus, though i'm likely to disagree with them

I would disagree with them too. I had another idea as to yours, but as I mentioned I would rather people found their own totems than just tell, especially since if I'm wrong it can interfere with that person's ability to find their actual totem (and this could be worse if I'm not far off)

Hmm. It could be that I am not experienced yet at medititating that I don't understand what you mean jeremy.. But I don't quite know what you mean by "calling" my totem. If you could explain it to me in lamen terms please?

um, it's one of those things you just do, that's about as close to layman terms as this one gets already. Maybe the word bring would have been more appropriate.

I think I kinda did it last night I was just trying to get to sleep, yesterday had been a long day, and I'd been sorting out folders and files for a couple hours. I was in the consciousness-on-the-edge-of-dreaming state. And a big brown bear just appeared in front of me when I thought "Animal totem". I was still conscious enough to remember so yay I think And hell, even if this is wrong, personal truth beats objective truth if you can't find it

Hmm, I feel compelled to add. Even though its really what I already said Even if it isn't what my animal totem is. I can't deny thats what my animal totem APPEARED to be

Rad, that sounds like your animal totem then! =) Congratulations!!! ^_^
"Contacting Your Spirit Guide" by Sylvia Browne is an excellent baby book/meditation CD package that I met my spirit guide with. I'd highly recommend that if anyone is looking for help meeting their guides, I mean we usually have one main one and then a few minor ones that step in when the main one can't be with us. This should help you meet most of them, hehe.
