I felt the same way throughout highschool especially. I regret ever going, it was a waste for me. You can certainly live without going to school. But I don't know how it is in the netherlands. Can you get a job at your age? When are you "officially" considered adult? If you cannot drop out, maybe I would recommend going to the lowest possible classes and just barely passing through. That's what I did. Because that way you "graduate" in the least amount of pain, and have that certificate going for you when you apply for a job. Could you tell more of your situation?

It depends on what you want to do with your life.
I hated high school, but college is soooo fun, you wouldn't believe how much fun it is taking classes and stuff when you're actually interested in what you're taking and you chose to take it. The people are 100x more mature because they finally realize that this is serious, and once you're done with your work in class, you can leave. That easy. College is better than any kind of public school 100% and I actually feel sorry for people who drop out and never go just because high school scarred them so much.
I took a diploma test and was able to get out of high school early. Does your country allow anything like that? It's like a substitute diploma for smart people until they get their college degree, otherwise you're out of school but no high school diploma.
If you have ambition and a goal in mind for what you want to do in this world, sometimes no matter how frustrating it is, we have to play by the rules. It's a lesson in discipline and self-motivation, of tolerance and intelligence to realize that once you go through all the bullshit, you never have to deal with it again and you have the full ability to practice in any field that interests you. I think that's a huge gift in life, being able to choose your profession, because that's what you do FOREVER once you're out of high school until you die. What's more worth it to you - dropping out, working from job to job and having trouble with a career because you have no education, or going through the bs and getting the degree and doing what makes you happy?
Sometimes what makes us happy doesn't revolve around careers and doesn't require a diploma, in which case, the decision is up to you based on morals, drive, etc.
You can live a perfectly happy life without an education, but what's important is that you're sure right now that you'll be happy without one. If you're sure you'll be happier without going to college, then by all means, don't go - but if there's something inside of you telling you that you should go and get a degree and try to apply it in a field, then maybe that's part of your life's plan and you should keep on going. Either way, just know that dropping out won't kill you, just limit your options later on. =)

Thanks. Well I just came in this new spirtual world a half year ago, by reading Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life and stuff like that. I'm just learning stupid information on school. And my dad would kill me if I stay out of school. But just the feeling that I'm different makes it hard. Realizing that they are wrong.
And then comes the question that's bothering me: What job would I have when I quit school. My Father and Mother don't really know that I'm reading this stuff. Beacuse I'm hiding it, they won't accept It because I tried it once.
P.S. Does anyone know about 2012? =)
Thanks again for helping me,
Helvetisaz.

Helvetisaz,
Yes, I'll agree with Crystal Maiden. I like college better then high school. I like being able to have more freedom in choosing my classes and taking more classes that I'm actually interested in.

Helvetisaz,
I have to hide everything from my family too... they don't understand, and they think I'm weird enough as it is, heh. But don't worry, there is a light at the end of the tunnel - let go and embrace whatever you want to become and don't let anyone hold you back; even though it's hard being different, I wouldn't change for the world.
2012... I think there's some topics on this, try the "general" board. I'll look around for some articles or something for you. =)

Helvestisaz, Yes, I believe 2012 is a topic that has already been brought up. Also, there is some interesting information on 2012 at www.wingmakers.com I'm not exactly sure where it is, but I'll look for it and post the exact link when I have time. Kiva

P.S. Does anyone know about 2012? =) I think I know why you said this. Perhaps you think that the world will be changing greatly during the next years, and soon this world will collapse, and there will then be no need for a degree in order to "do what you want" or "open more doors" anymore (everything will return to how it should be). Tell me if that is accurate at all for you, because that is how I feel. I have not read "Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life" yet, but will probably get it soon after hearing a bit about it here. I'm in college right now but plan on dropping out at the end of this semester. It's better than high school but even though I pick my classes and there are more people, no matter what, I can never accept the people "teaching" me as teachers, and it still seems like the mass populous is brainwashed. And I am still told generally what to do...not to mention the end of the path, a piece of paper to "open doors." It sounds like you are a lot like me. When I drop out I am going to get a job on my own/be self-sufficient and be off my parents' support. Then, they literally can't control what I do with MY life. Still, it has gotten easier for my parents to handle this as I go along, because they understand what I'm saying about this world and know I'm right.

Some deluded people think that 2012 is the doomsday year, but apart from that, I can't help you.

That's exactly how I feel. You really should read that book, It's amazing! It's so great. I ordered part 2 a couple of days ago. Thanks for your comment. Thank you all.

I know this is somewhat off topic (by now especially) but I had to add... my friends would joke around about our HS...they'd say, "yeah, it's a prison...wait, prisons have WINDOWS!" our high school had one window in the whole building...on the second floor, overlooking the roof. ...and that was it...and otherwise, we all felt the same way you do.

Ahh, that's awfull. I solved my problem. I try to live in the NOW, not in the future, neither in the past. So I enjoy every second, even when I'm at school.
