I have to go back to school soon and I am dreading it because there is always too much going on at once and I feel so trapped. I also get sick a lot during the school year... probably because I am so unhappy that I make myself ill... Any tips on being in school?

I don't like school either. I always see it as something I've got to get through and "survive" really. I have to go back in one month and I dread it a bit too. The thing I do when I get back from a bad schoolday is to go somewhere I feel really good, for me this is the forest behind my house. I try to relax and think about things I like. That's the only tip I can think of.

Eh. I hate school, and I go back in 26 days.. Sports help me, so I signed up for Weight Lifting and Baseball Though time consuming, it could help. Just find something you love, and it'll distract you. For example, if you like acting, take theatre. You'll look foward to that class more, and it'll be reason to get through the day.

Yes, find something you love doing and make sure you fit it into your schedule.

I have panic attacks in school sometimes. I've had them for a long time but I still don't fully know how to deal with them. Does anyone have any suggestions for dealing with high anxiety? Especially at school where people don't understand and I can't go make chamomile tea or go somewhere where I feel safe...

I think there's a difference between just anxiety and panic attacks. panic attacks are usually triggered by something, and you need to get to the root of the problem (ex: if someone got raped and then 5 years later saw the face of the man that raped them, they may have a panic attack). anxiety would just need stress relievers, or for you to find something you enjoy doing so that you can do that instead of worry and stress more.
during school I used to draw a lot...

School...I highly dislike school...I get a feeling of dread in my stomach whenever I think about it... I don't know how I could help, as I have the same problem as you, but here's a tip: Try to find out as much as you can about your upcoming school year. For example, find out if you can meet your teachers, find out if your friends are in any of your classes, how and when you will be picked up from school, where your classrooms are, etc., ahead of time. I find that this helps eliminate some of the fear associated with the unknown, and just small elements like these, like, knowing where you'll be picked up, eliminates stress from my day. I also like to talk to my mom about what I'm worried about. After school oftentimes, I'll sit at the table with my mom while we have a snack, and we'll talk about our day. This helps me too! Also, as others have recommended, try setting aside some time in your schedule to do something you truly enjoy. For me, it's helpful if I have some time alone after school, so I can reflect on the day and relax. But I also like having a fun weekend activity planned so that I have something to look forward to all week, like lunch out with my mom. (yes, I am quite close to my mom! ) Also, I sometimes get high anxiety in school, too. I know exactly what you're saying! To keep my emotions under control, often, I'll unknowingly become quiet and seemingly "emotionless". But other times, I won't be able to hide my emotions, and the tears will just start pouring out from all the stress building up throughout my day. I still find myself struggling with this, so I'm not sure how to help you, but good luck. I understand and share your fears about school though. Good luck, and I hope my tips helps a bit.

Envision how you would like your days to be at school AND find something positive each day. Feel yourself feeling good when you see how your day unfolds in your mind and keep that thought and feeling......hold onto it and begin your day. See what happens. If you beleive you're going to be ill you WILL. If you believe you're doing to ahve a wonderful experience you will.

That's a useful tip, oceanjasmine. Basically, if you have a good attitude about something, you'll have a better experience with it?

school is a kind of entrapment, I deal with my problems by socialising, doing things I want to do, and being with people who I want to be with.
