It depends on the faerie really. I would be happy to tell you about the faeries I have encountered.

Thank you for welcoming me, that is so kind of you. I really do not know where to start with faeries, but I guess I will start with an occasion that happened some summers ago. It was very warm. I was sitting up in my bed reading. The sunlight was flickering through the trees and streaming in through the window-- making little leafy patterns of light on the walls. At first, I thought nothing of it, but then I noticed that some of little patterns of light were turning into faeries. The first two I saw were sitting on the mold of my closet door. They were both smiling and swinging their legs back and forth. It seemed as if they were composed of sunlight. Their features were not solid or ghost-like. Instead, little pinpricks of colored light made up their faces, clothing, and features, which gave them an overall sparkling appearance. Something like a pointillist painting or strangely enough-- kind of like the tiny little "pixels," which make up a computer image. I watched the two faeries for some time, before the rest of the little leaf patterns began to change. Soon, there were a number of faeries. They were able to grow, shrink, and change shape as they flew. One little faerie, I remember best, because she wasn't half as shy as the others. She flew up to my face and smiled. She held her arms back behind herself as she flew as if she were swimming. I couldn't really tell if they had wings, because of the way that they flew. The first time I saw faeries. I was very young. I was watching the stars sparkling through the ivy curtain on my bedroom window. Usually, I felt scared to leave the window open, but this night seemed so peaceful. I then saw faeries float through my window in a pyramid shape They had soft flowing dresses and were pale like the moonlight. That is the last I remember of the experience before falling asleep. I have had many encounters after that. On another occasion I saw a water spirit. She was vaporous-- like the mist over a lake early in the morning. Recently, I was talking to trees, plants and the sky outside just quietly telling them some of my dreams and wishes-- when I saw the shadowy image of a faerie appear and flicker off. I have little solar powered rainbow maker with a crystal prism attached on the window. The sun makes the little gears spin, then the crystal spins, and makes little rainbows dance around the house. It had been a gray day that day. The rainbow maker had been still all day. But, as soon as I came back inside my house-- the rainbow maker began to spin out of control until there was just this blue-white flash of light. It then stopped suddenly. I couldn't help but wonder about the faerie I had seen. I have a feeling that it wanted to let me know for certain that it heard me outside.
