Has anyone got the same problem, i listen to music too much, i think. It´s like my mp3-player has become almost the best friend i have nowdays Thinking about the emotional health, it´s like living in the own world instead of other people. Perhaps it´s not so good for anyone?

Well, music was originally meant to be like a communal act of emotions... before recording it was just getting together to play and before headphones it was gathering around the radio or whatever just to listen together. Certainly they do seperate people...
I listen to way too much music as well though! ^_^;

I overly listen to music and sing too much. My son, who is turning 4 loves to sing. My daughter at 6 months, started to bop to music and now she's one, she dances all over the place. But music is very good! I think it stimulates the emotions of ones' soul to be at peace with themselves.

I like the silence that comes from driving a car on the freeway in the middle of the night. Shuts everything else out, a bit like meditation Music has been my biggest refuge through life and it still works great, if I can cut thru the top40 love Michael

That´s right, when driving it´s like a good meditation sometimes. Without music it´s very boring to live.

without music, I just wouldn't feel whole. I've been composing songs and playing the piano for my entire life - as long as I was in grade school, I was in band. I love that feeling when you play with an orchestra and you just lose yourself to the ebb and flow of the song. It's pure magic.

Yes, I listen to music a lot, but not as much as I used to. There are songs and music groups I could listen to over and over again, without getting tried of them (if I'm in the mood of course).

I can't imagine not being a musician. I'd have to say that I prefer classical and ambient music, it seems the most "true" type of music (to me, that is).

Heck, music is older than the written language! It can trigger emotions you didn't even know you had. I like listening to songs that I haven't heard since I was a child. It stirs up a warm feeling inside that I can't even describe. Music is definately an amazing form of self expression. *Turns on the radio and starts to dance!*

Music is one of the best thing what happened to us. or for us. when I come home from work, the first thing is turning on the stereo and listening to Placebo. I love this band so much, their song called The Bitter End always helps me get rid of my frustration and anger. Do you have guys favorite music or band? crind, what are you listening?

Yes, music is the best thing that I ever got into. It's by far my first love. Listening to or playing music has been my coping method since I can remember.

My mandolin is my best friend Many of the best moments of my life have been when I've been singing or playing one of my instruments with someone I love. Yes I suppose it is escape from the world but you get to take others with you.

my car's my best friend...that's my best opportunity to turn up the volume and sing at the top of my lungs...
everyone's experience with music is different I'm sure...I doubt it's been an escape method for everyone. I have used it for that before...but now it's so much more to me than that...mostly a form of expression.

Wow, jeremy, you play the madolin?? I don't think it's possible to listen to too much music.... the most you're in danger of is messing up your ears if the volume is too high... But don't worry When I first got my i-pod mini, I never seperated from it... it was almost comical. I was also going through a rough time, and my i-pod became like my best friend. If you're worried, just try to balance between listening to music and talking/socializing. If everyone is talking amongst themselves, don't hide away in a corner and listen to music. Lots of love, Luz
