I think this would be a good topic. I was inspired by Gemma's beautiful painting and by my own creativity for this one... I hope no one objects. Anyway, I just wanted to share this with you: Let me know what you think!

I like it ^^ Very airy and wispy. Lots of colour Experiment with line and tone using charcoal.. It was supposed to be working from some jar.. But I got bored and worked from my head. There is one I did today of plants with charcoal, line only.. Wasn't too bad so I'll grab a picture of it ^^

I think there is some cheap way of effectively copyrighting.. by handing it to a solicitor.. Oh well. Let them take mine if they want. it's not a masterpiece or nowt

I don't copyright things because it is not in my nature to do so. I like credit for my work, certainly, but it is not an absolute necessity. If people use my work somewhere and I happen to notice, I just know that I got a message across and that is what matters most to me.
A poem, then, which I wrote for a contest on another forum. It was hard to write in a way because it is so personal but in general I had fun with it. I hope you'll like it too.
Starchild
Starchild I know your pain Your hope has shattered And your dreams have gone Your songs have been forgotten And your words are an echo on the page
Starchild I know your sorrow Your innocence is removed And your faith cannot be restored Your goodness has been destroyed inside And your life is just a slight trace in their memory
Starchild I know your desire Your heart is meant for love And your mind grasps things unknown Your light is like the sun which warms the earth And your darkness is the strange silence afterwards
Starchild I know your hopes Your tears stain no cheeks And your smile never left your face Your eyes behold more than is in my sight And your ears still hear the voices of the spirits
Starchild I know your dreams Your power is too great And your burden a heavy load Your silence makes me wonder now And your strength to continue I greatly admire
Starchild I know you I love you so And I miss you Every day a bit more And every night I cry for you
Starchild I know you For you were all of me And you cannot remain here Because you deserve much more And I cannot take care of you in this time
Starchild, I know you, for you are me, and in me you will be... Starchild, I know you, for you are the love, and you have warmed my heart... Starchild, I know you, for you are the innocence, and you have been tainted now... Starchild, I know you, for I miss you, and I love you, and I need you... Starchild, will I see you again in this time of need?

Beautiful poem, Althrielle! =) I love the art too, and that's very trippy Rad. Here is some work I've done using photoshop, image manipulation, and digital painting: Enjoy. My art page is in my sig if you want to look at more of the stuff, I believe Helvetisaz *sp*, Laurel, and Jeremy have accounts on the same site.

Everything here is so beautiful. I wrote this next poem for someone I know. A friend of hers died today from cancer (yesterday was her 16th birthday, and today she's dead ) and I wanted to support her a little bit. Remembrance of a Loved OneI thought for a long long time About what I wanted to write or say I placed my hands upon the keyboard But then, while thinking, I took them away
For how can I ever speak words of comfort Towards someone who has just lost a dear heart? How can I ever say that things will be fine When you and your friend are a lifetime apart?
And still I sit here and I write to you With loving words I pull you into my embrace I know that no one can ease your pain Except this friend who has gone to a better place
But I do try to make you feel better a little Even though my words will bring naught but a tear I want you to know that your friend loves you And I want you to know that she is still here
When in the morn you look to the eastern sun Think of your friend and smile upon the warm rays She is still here and hugs you with the wind So you are never alone if you remember her face

Okay, here we go. Another overflow of creativity. Actually, not all of these were made in this year (only the last one is) but I just chose to make the publish date out of it. First up is a rather plain thing. It was a very quick try-out of my new pastels and therefore there's no real big story behind it. To me it does kinda symbolise the ascent of raw and earthly energy towards a higher, more tingly level of energy... very unintentionally... The next three pictures were a bit large so some nifty bits have been cut off... But this changes nothing about the general idea of it. First up is a hopeful picture. It might not look that way with all the dark colors at the bottom, but to me this symbolises the defeat of bad energy inside of myself. The heavy, bright colors are the 'good guys'. I love being dramatic... Next, we've got this slightly strange thingy. It's a depiction of love inside of me which projects right into the world. It is small at the moment because I'm still opposed by some barriers but soon the whole space will be filled with pure pink/white energy... but you can't capture that sort of purity properly so I chose the phase my soul is in at this moment. HA! I do think about my work a lot when I'm just in touch with me and nothing more. Oh, and the nice-looking light at the bottom is my scanner's amazing power. And this one is very special! My mother created the structure in the drawing but she only used the soft colors... she is unable to express the more powerful stuff and she 'made me do it'. So yeah, this is a collab between Mum and me. Nothing special. We both don't know what it means. Fireworks, probably. Aaaaaand lastly, we've got a special one. I created it today. The title is, as you can perhaps see, "Gift of Unity". But this description doesn't say a *bleepbleep* about what it means to me. I was inspired by some friends of mine for this. This is the colors I feel when one of them gives me a hug out of love and friendship. It's pretty, isn't it? [/color]
