Ok here's a rant from me - kind of feels weird since someone's just been saying he appreciates how I rarely bitch about anything. No particular theme here this is just all the things that have been causing me an insane degree of stress this weekend.
On saturday night was my flatmate's birthday party. He wasn't his usual self because of a really strange ongoing argument with his mother which had just flared up again.
Anyway he got really drunk and the rest of us had to carry him to his room to put him in bed. That was ok, it's something I'm willing to do for a friend. I went to bed not long after and had the awkward event of having the girl my flatmate is in love with go to bed on my bedroom couch. Fortunately my flatmate's ok with that. I just let her sleep there because I knew that was the place she'd least likely be bothered by some drunk idiot (my flatmate being in that category for the time being)
In the morning, my flatmate couldn't find his cellphone or credit card. He thought he'd just lost them so he didn't do anything about it except ask people if they'd seen either item. Today he rang the bank and found that $500 had been taken from his credit card since he went to sleep during his birthday party.
Then tonight he had a really weird argument with one of my friends because one of his friends has been staying here a lot and has outstayed his welcome and keeps borrowing his car (which he's giving to me since he owes me an ammount of money roughly equal to the value of the car) without asking and has crashed it twice. My friend didn't want to get dragged into the issue at all but my flatmate kept responding as if she was taking the other guy's side and they were both really angry with each other by the time it was all over. Fortunately all is forgiven between them and he even gave her a ride to where her mother was picking her up (we distrust this person's mother to the point we don't want her to know where we live).
Anyway, when she was calling her mother I overheard her say that someone had threatened to beat her up and kill her (unborn) baby. Which brings me to the point that if my flatmate was a gentleman he wouldn't have been arguing with an expectant mother who wasn't even trying to argue back. That kind of nonsense is bad for the baby (sometimes it seems like she and I are the only ones to give a shit that she's having a baby - and I'm just a friend).
She wouldn't tell me who made that threat but I think it's something to do with her ex-boyfriend who's the father of the child. Not him but someone he's able to manipulate. (if he'd made that kind of threat she would have just beaten him up)
On top of all this there's the issue that I'm broke and my income doesn't cover what I have to pay other people this week and I hate borrowing even more just to pay off debts.
I know some of this will be censored in amusing ways but I don't give a shit.
