Sometimes, especially in places where there are large crowds and bright lights and loud noises, I just feel overwhelmed, often to the point where I feel like crying. This can be quite embarrassing, when I'm close to tears and I'm around a lot of people, and I have no where to go. I find it hard to hide my tears and keep myself from going out of control. I'm very sensitive and I get nervous very easily. I just don't know what to do, and I was hoping someone here might be able to give me a few tips on how to keep myself from bursting out in tears in a stressful situation...It's really been bothering me and I always worry that I won't be able to keep myself from crying. Thank you!

Please, any tips at all? School starts in two weeks for me and I'm starting to get worried that I'll just burst out in tears. I don't know why, but it just...happens. Maybe it's a bunch of the little things that go wrong throughout the day (like, I get pushed down and my locker doesn't open and I can't find a spot to sit at lunch) or maybe it's just a combination of the bright lights, loud noises, and crowds that makes me feel upset, but I always feel like crying...

maybe you will find some new insights by questioning your beliefs and thought patterns. it's only a little piece but a start. www.trans4mind.com/mother_mary/ it is quite good. there will be loftier times. I would say feel it, go cry, it is ok to worry, it is ok to feel fear. denial doesn't help.

Hmm, thanks, Pruuf... The link that you gave me is a little hard to understand, but thanks anyway. And I don't mind crying--when I'm alone, in my room or something. It's just kind of embarrassing when I get upset and start crying in front of everyone and I have no where to go to calm myself down...at home, when I get upset, I just go to my room and relax there, but I can't exactly do that at school.

you really like getting upset ? is this true? stress is created by not accepting what IS. you created your little sanctuary in your room with your frequency. did you know how dust is created in your room that is of course vacuum clean? because you as the observer do not pay attention all the time so the atoms or thought clusters start to demanifest. in public the opposite is true. even if there are no people the atoms are radiating the energy of their creator as they demanifest. so this can influence one. you can feel where the atmosphere is nice and were not and then choose. e.g. in bars and clubs you will find dead people hanging around both physical and non physical. well, I went to bars and clubs for a long time and am still alive , but even there you can choose where to go.

Thank you, Arya, and thank you, Pruuf! Arya, those are some good suggestions; thank you. Pruuf, thank you for trying to help, but I'm not sure I understand. I don't like to get upset, but it just happens...I just get upset easily. If you don't mind, could you please clarify? Thank you!

Hm.. Since you feel comfortable in your room, Why not place some energy from your room into your locker or something?

Great idea, ssyn! So you're saying I should take something from my room and put it in my locker? I didn't really decorate my locker last year. The lockers at are school for my grade are small and old since they haven't gotten around to replacing them, so I don't know if I'd really be able to decorate it much, but it's worth a try! And I should keep some band-aids in my locker, too, since last year I kept getting cuts from the sharp parts. Thanks for all the tips! I'm trying to think positive too, and it's helped. ^_^

Ooh, nice ideas, Arya! Thanks! I think I have some little posters from a magazine I can hang up, and maybe I have a mirror; I'll have to check. I went to someone to talk about it today, and they recommended sucking on a piece of candy and just to concentrate on the flavor to get my mind off of my problems...They also said that I am a Highly Sensitive Person...well, I guess that'd be true!

Well, yeah. Higher Vibrational people seem to respond to emotional states in more severe ways than a non higher vibrational person would. And since your an emapth, you're also recieving the emotions of people around you, which would only magnify how you feel. Try shielding yourself from others emotions for a while and see how it goes.

Yes, I would try visualizing a shield around you.

I think I mentioned this in a different forum but you should definitely read The Highly Sensitive Person by Elaine N. Aron. It has helped me a lot.

I learned a technique called "iron shirt" that helped to put more energy into my body. The basis of it is reverse breathing which is used in some martial arts styles but it can also have the effect of making your energy field more resilient to thought fields and emf etc. Keep in mind that it's kind of a quick fix and doesn't really address the deeper spiritual issues IMO.
Give it a go though: basically when you inhale you suck your stomach in slightly and when you exhale you relax your stomach out.
Do it slowly and gently and there shouldn't be any strain at all. You may feel a slight stretching of your skin over your body and this is good because it means that your entire surface area is being affected. Make sure to relax afterwards. Try not to hold onto any of the tension in your body. You should feel a sense of inner power after about 10 breaths or so. If you want you can visualize power, strength etc building in you as you do it too.

I was taught by someone else to tell my energy to stand on "neutral" around other people. I tried it, and I picked up on a lot less energy when I did. Basically his explanation was that people who are too sensitive have an inward spiral going on energy-wise and so take things from their environment and absorb them. By telling your energy to go "neutral", you get rid of feeling like you're a sponge.

Thanks for the tips, everyone. I'll be sure to try them and maybe give some feedback on how they work.

My advice would be wear protective charged rocks like amethyst, moldavite, moldavite removes your fear, amethyst protects your aura. Wear a grounding rock with these like red jasper. Plaster them on chackras with micropore tape.
