Hey all, I found this test on a website that determines how open or closed your chakras are. I'm not sure how accurate it is, but it's sumthin to do! The URL is www.eclecticenergies.com/chakras/chakratest.phpHere are my results: Root: open (25%) Sacral: open (50%) Navel: open (56%) Heart: over-active (81%) Throat: open (44%) Third Eye: over-active (81%) Crown: over-active (81%) (Results range from -100% to 100%)

I've taken this test before. I haven't taken it in awhile, but I've taken it before. Also not sure how accurate it is, but that's for the person taking the test to decide.

Eh, I've gotta work on that, lol.

I have to say that this may be fairly accurate for me after reading more about each chakra. A challenge for me is to balance my throat chakra which has been under active my whole life. I feel if that one gets balanced then it will force the others below to align and be more balanced. It was fun:)
Root: under-active (-63%) Sacral: under-active (-25%) Navel: under-active (-56%) Heart: open (38%) Throat: under-active (-19%) Third Eye: open (38%) Crown: open (25%)

thanks for the test.
from that same page:
"There are emotions and states that are able to close down chakras, if they're not processed adequately. Anodea Judith calls them 'demons' in her book 'Eastern Body, Western Mind'. The demons affect the 'rights' that are associated with the chakras.
1. Root Chakra Fear The right to be here 2. Sacral Chakra Guilt The right to feel 3. Navel Chakra Shame The right to act 4. Heart Chakra Sorrow The right to love and be loved 5. Throat Chakra Lies The right to speak and hear truth 6. Third Eye Chakra Illusion The right to see 7. Crown Chakra Attachment The right to know "
makes sense. my least active chakra is the root chakra. "fear, affecting the right to be here." my biggest problem right there.

interesting...thnx for posting this, I had wondered...

Hm. Interesting test. I don't think it was entirely active because I don't think my navel chakra is over-active, but I agree with Laurel- there is some things I need to work on.

I find it very hard to take these tests. There are many different reasons why. Let me give some examples.
"Do you trust most people?" Well I would if the people around me were trustworthy.. "Are you a very emotional and passionate person?" I can be, but also can be the opposite.. "Do you feel nervous easily, or do you regularly avoid situations that might make you nervous?" depends on my mindset, the particular situations, etc... "Are you able to extend an attitude of compassion to others and yourself easily?" sometimes it's easy, sometimes it's hard.. "Are you a team player?" can be...again, depends on lots of things... "Are you good at thinking in words, symbols and concepts?" words? no, symbols? a bit, concepts? yes. :/
I find that a lot of questions that should apply to the same chakra can actually be on opposite extremes too.
ahhH!! ok. i have to make another thread now.

Lol! Yeah I know what you mean, I got frustrated on quite a few of the questions myself. I find that when there are faulty answers like that, I try to put myself in the head of the test-maker and figure out what concept or point they were trying to get at. Sometimes it's hard to tone down an analytical brain though, lol, I had a lot of trouble on standardized tests before I learned to think like a robot for brief periods of time.

Root: under-active (-6%) Sacral: under-active (6%) Navel: under-active (6%) Heart: open (63%) Throat: open (50%) Third Eye: over-active (69%) Crown: open (63%)
About right, though my heart chakra is actually slightly more active than my third eye. I'm weird though some of my "minor" chakras are more active than some of my "7 principal" ones (I just briefly wondered if that was a bad thing then decided it is better not to worry even if it's not the best thing).
"Heart: sorrow/the right to love and be loved" -> but... well maybe I'm just different but when I feel sorrow it is not for myself but for someone I love. It doesn't interfere with how I love others. Sometimes it even reminds me how much I love someone.
-- After 6 days of meditations: Root: open (25%) Sacral: under-active (13%) Navel: open (31%) Heart: over-active (75%) Throat: open (44%) Third Eye: open (69%) Crown: over-active (75%) This agrees almost completely with what I sense, except I'm not sure my crown chakra is that active.

I was happy yet surprised to see only one over-active chakra. I've always had some over and under active chakras when I've taken this take before. This is the first time most of my chakras have been open.

Newsociety,
Your answers to the questions you post are why I tend to kept a lot of my replies this time in the middle, because a lot of time my answer to the question they are asking depends on what is going on from moment to moment. That is probably why most of my chakras were said to be open and not over or under active.

geez cm whered you get that many posts lol?
here's my own description of my chakras, based off the definitions on that site and how I know myself:
root: underactive sacral: underactive navel: open heart: open throat: slightly underactive thirdeye: open crown: open
When I started on my spiritual journey, when I started searching and finding truth, I realize that I squashed out my lower two chakras. Overwhelmed with thinking about "the big picture" you don't have to wonder why or how that happened.

I did this test a while ago and I have actually evened out some, as we can all see and as I inheriently know, I still have more work to do to "balance" myself out. But clearly I have been making progress. Its hard to know what it means to have "over-active" chakras, but I guess it explains some of my hyper-sensitivity to so many things. Wish me luck on my journey,
Kate

One too many nights passing notes back and forth with IndigoPheonix, lol! I know what you mean though, I totally lost track and then when I checked my posts I was like O.O . I even have more than Laurel, I feel ashamed... but I'm sure she's happy I support her forum so much, hehehe. =)
You guys are cool anyway, I'm glad I post here as much as I do. ^_^

Its hard to know what it means to have "over-active" chakras, but I guess it explains some of my hyper-sensitivity to so many things. Wish me luck on my journey, Kate ...mostly over-active chakras are compensating for under-active ones, and if you balance those (under-active), your over-active ones will balance themselves. best of luck on your journey

First time I've ever taken a Chakra test, I haven't had a lot of time to look into them much.. I'll get around to it soon I imagine ^^ Root: open (31%) Sacral: open (44%) Navel: open (56%) Heart: open (25%) Throat: open (50%) Third Eye: open (44%) Crown: open (38%) That seems good.. I think o.O; I think if I'd taken it 2 months ago it would've been completely different. Looking at them all being open though seems about right, mainly because at the start of September I found an instant and unaccountable balance ^^ Starting medititation gave even more of a balance which felt very strange in the mix indeed

Root: under-active (-6%) Sacral: under-active (13%) Navel: under-active (6%) Heart: open (56%) Throat: over-active (69%) Third Eye: over-active (69%) Crown: over-active (69%)
I think maybe I should have kept up with those meditations instead of backsliding on them. There are a couple of differences between the test results and what my senses tell me though.

Though my three over active chakra's don't portray the greed glutony (so to speak) or the traits of being over active, more just endulged versions of the open chakra's....
