Ahhh, the realm of chakras...OOOMMM
Chakras are the channels of the filiments that connect us to our other halfs.
They span four different worlds. The crown is our brain and the forth and highest world, as is the third eye or indigo chakra, and it is here that we realize what we can do, and how to use our chakras.
the chakra in our necks is the third world represents the chakras in our hands and is our ability to express ourselves.
The chakra at our hearts is the world just above the bottom world and is where we experience true breath. There is also a secret passage in our heart chakras that I am watching, but haven't actively explored.
The bottom three chakras represent this world, or the mundane world.
Laya yago involves visualization work with the chakras. The first chakra (root chakra) corresponds to the colour red, and the element earth, also to our sense of smell
The orange chakra is similar if not the same as our dan tiem and corresponds to the element water. And to our sense of taste.
The yellow chakra is positioned about where our kidneys are (yourself knows where the chakras are positioned). This chakra corresponds to the element fire and our sense of sight.
The green chakra is located at our solar plexus (the bony bit above the hollow below the breast plate ((sorry:-P)) this chakra corresponds to the element air and our sense of touch. The heart/green chakra also maintains our lungs and heart.
The sky blue chakra is at our throats and corresponds to the element of ether and our sense of sound. This chakra also governs the neck, shoulders and teeth and mouth.
The third eye chakra is Indigo in colour. It corresponds to the sense of thought
The crown chakra corresponds to the seventh sense.
There are three excercises to laya yoga that I know of.
Two can be found here:

A third is to work with the lower five chakras, and that is to imagine the body as a body or earth, or a body of water, or a body of air, or a body of fire, or a body of ether, working with each of the corresponding chakras.
