Once again, I'm sorry to make another thread, but for years, I would have these questions in my mind, and now that I have found this forum, I have a place to ask them, which is wonderful! Whenever I begin to meditate, as soon as I sit down, my ears start to hum, really loudly! All I wanted to know is, what does it mean when your ears start humming? Thanks!

It could possibly be all the noise in your mind or someone or something giving you a message. And the sometimes frustrating thing about questions like these is you actually know the answer yourself. You may not realize it but you do.

Hmm, okay. Maybe if I look deep enough in myself, I'll find the answer...if it is a message, I wonder what anyone would be trying to tell me... Interesting. But my mind is often busy too, so it would also make sense that it was the noise from my mind. ;D Thank you!

Oh, okay, thanks for the information! So it's a good thing then? I hear it quite often, but mostly when I'm in complete silence...

If it's not a sign your hearing is going, yes.

I don't think it's a sign my hearing is going, but it may be. I've always had very good hearing though.

Oh, astral travel/astral projection? Yes, maybe. I've come quite close to having a projection, but as I said before, I always get afraid just before I'm about to lift out. (Fear of the unknown...) I'm debating in my mind whether to try it again. It's tempting, but I'm just afraid it will be dangerous...

Try again, but hold a flashlight or something if you have to. Every object has an astral body, and if you go into the astral plane holding onto a physical flashlight, you could use it in the astral plane. Same for other objects.

I thought only living things had astral bodies?

Hmm, I don't know. I've heard that non-living things do too.

Maybe I'm confusing auras with astral bodies???

I don't think so. I've heard that objects also have "auras" that are like a reflection of their physical color, but I'm unsure if this is true.

NO, only living things have electromaganetic fields or auras because only they give off an electromaganetic charge. Now, if objects have them too, then objects must be alive as well as you or I.

No, you see, I read somewhere that some objects give off reflections of auras, but not really auras...I don't know if it's true, but I just read it somewhere, like a green object may give off a pinkish "aura". Again, I'm not sure if it's true, because I just read it somewhere. I hope that made sense...it sounded kind of confusing after I read it, but I don't really know how to explain... But you're probably right.

Are you saying that you read that objects reflect in a way the auras of those living things around them??

Yes, although, since I read it on the website, I'm not entirely sure how true it is.

Well, if objects didn't have astral bodies/ auras, then there would be no Astral Plane..

Or are "objects" not "objects" but "subjects"?
ssyn,
I'm not sure astral bodies and auras are the same thing.

Kitty, I feel very strongly that the humming you are experiencing is an attempt to get a message through to you. Someone seems very persistent about it too. If you are willing to receive a message . . . .try saying simply "I can't understand what you are trying to say. ..it only sounds like a humming. . . can you adjust the frequency please" Continue to communicate their progress or lack thereof in this way. They need your feedback in order to get through. Do you feel connected to the angelic realm at all? Doreen Virtue has a good article about "Hearing your angels messages" You can find it here www.angeltherapy.com/article_arc.php Also, you can ask for angelic protection as you explore your abilities. You should never need to feel afraid of those abilities. It doesn't matter what your spiritual tradition is. You are always protected. You don't need to do more than think "Angels Help!" =D Light and Love, Pearldancer

I always ask my angels for help, every time I need it, and they almost always respond (the only times I believe they cannot help is when I am having a life lesson, and need to learn it without much assistance from my angels). I also am an empath and very strong clairsentient, and feel very connected to my angels and energy to the point where I can actually "feel" them around me. Sometimes at night (please, don't think I'm crazy : I hear voices in my head, that sound like a lady's voice, but very sweet and calm and nice, just calling my name, softly...this especially happened when I was little and just beginning to uncover my spiritual gifts. I used to wake up out of dead sleep and hear these voices...I haven't ever told anyone about this until now, I was, and still am, a bit afraid that people would think I was crazy... And thank you for your reassurance, it really helped! I will remember not to be afraid, but it's almost like a reflex...maybe I will ask them if it's possible they can help me overcome this fear of mine. And I'll read that article; thank you so much!

I don't think you're crazy, Kitty. Your description of angels sounds a lot like how I would describe them. I talk to my angels all the time and if I want to, I can usually feel other people's angels, too. (Sometimes I'm not allowed to feel other people's angels, though.) It's like I can see the angels in my mind and I just sort of know where they are... I also hear them talking sometimes, although usually I just understand what they're telling me, so they don't bother to put it into words.
My ears also hum a lot and I'm quite sure I'm not suffering hearing loss. Sometimes the humming gets really loud. Also, there are different sorts of hums... I can't really explain.

Oh, I know exactly what you're saying, elieria! You sound a lot like me. I'm glad I'm not going out of my mind. LOL. And it's always nice to know you're understood. Some people misunderstand me, and it's just a horrible feeling to be misunderstood. Yeah, they often send me messages too. My angels are quite helpful. Yeah, my ears hum a lot, but mostly when I'm thinking about spiritual things and it's silent. I know what you mean, though, when you say, different sorts of hums. You mean like, different tones? (Like, one is really high pitched and loud, and another is lower and softer?)

Yeah, there are different tones of hums. And different volumes, like some are just in the background and some are really powerful and loud.

Yes, exactly! If they are a message like some suggest, I wonder what the message is... A thought came to me recently; could it just be an ability to detect changes in air pressure, kind of like when your ears hum when you are deep underwater? Probably not, but just a possibility... What do you think?

Hmm. It is possible that a change in air pressure could cause our ears to act funny but I'm not an expert. I also have no idea whether they're messages or not... if they are, I have no idea how to decipher them. They don't seem to be messages from the angels, anyway... so maybe it's better if we don't know what they're saying... I never really thought about it until now.

Well, you could try telling your angels, "Guardian Angels (or their names if you know their names), if the humming in my ears is a message from you, could you please clarify?"
