Okay, so I just want to say that my diet is a lot different now than it was when I was a kid but my ultimate favorite food in the world is and has always been Italian.
On a healthier note though, I just wanted to ask - they say that the higher a vibration you're on, the more you seek out fresh/organic food that's good for your body and the more you love eating it. I'm becoming more and more like this and I have to say, my current favorites of the healthy food section are:
1) Fresh salsa and warm tortilla chips - omg so good! 2) A huge fruit salad set inside half a melon. I can't eat kiwis or pineapple because they make my mouth burn but every other kind of fruit, especially mangos, are delicious!
Also, I can't really eat a lot of sugary stuff, I think donuts, cake, and chocolate are some of the most disgusting things in the world... unless it's a small piece of dark chocolate, lol. I have never liked cake my entire life, you can imagine how perplexing that was for my parents on birthdays when they wanted to throw a party for me and a bunch of guests, hehehe.
So - what's your favorite unhealthy food, your favorite "higher vibrational" food, and something that you really just can't stand to eat? =)

Great Topic Crystal Maiden,
My favorite healthy food these days is: Cherise's Morning Power Smoothie Ingredients: Organic rice milk, organic non-homogenized local yogurt, organic Udo's oil or Flax oil, frozen banana, frozen local blue or black berry, and organic roasted hempnuts. Yum!
My favorite non-healthy food: My weakness: Potato Chips (so easy to just pop into my mouth)

My weakness is probably any form of sugar. Fresh cookies, cake, ice cream, candy...especially candy, cuz I can get that easily at work. And the Little Debbies! Ah!
...Pho (Vietnamese) was introduced to me fairly recently...and I can't get enough of it. I'm a sucker for sushi now too (and I used to hate it) ...but I can't drink something cold with it or I'll get sick...I have to have hot tea.
Can't stand: anything with a "bad" texture. There's certain textures that just don't sit well with me...beans, peas, caviar, mushrooms (that's partly the smell and the psychology of "I'm eating a fungus" too) etc. etc. etc. I can hardly drink carbonated beverages anymore...they've given me gas pains ever since I stopped drinking Dr. Pepper.

OMG I get gas pains from some sodas too! That's sheer hell, lol.

I also get gas pains from carbonated beverages as well. That's why I stopped drinking them or drinking them regularly. Also I can't drink highly acidic drinks either such as oj. I have found an apple juice/drink that I can get my Vitamin C from, since I can't drink oj.

My favorite foods are actually family recipes. They are from my mother's side a sweet chicken dish called Goofy Chicken and from my Uncle's side an Italian dish called Red Rice (Minute rice made with various spices, tomato souce, and tomato paste).

This is definitely a good topic! My favorite unhealthy food- Ice Cream! Not with anything in it though, just plain. Something about the smooth texture mixed with the cold and a little bit of sweet, I love it! My favorite "higher vibrational food"- I don't know if it's "higher vibrational" exactly, but I LOVE hummus and wheat-bread pita. Especially white hummus, it's so good! Can't stand- Raisins! Ich. I don't know why. The small and wrinkly business just doesn't sit well with me, lol.

Favourite unhealty food: Battered mussels. I guess my favourite food overall is actually kiwifruit. I have no problem with acid fruits and often eat lemons as if they were oranges. There is only one food I don't like: olives. That's actually really weird because the olive branch is a major part of my soul signature. I guess I like the tree itself but I can't stand the fruit.

Lol, that's funny about the olive branch Jeremy.
IndiGirl - I hate raisins too! Never could stand them, neither could my mom, but I remember when I was little she used to trick me into eating them thinking that maybe it was just my mentality. But nope, never liked raisins, something about the taste and tecture.
I do like prunes tho... lol. And yes, hummus is soooo good, I should get it more but sometimes the store bought kind are so nasty, heh.

CM, it's so funny that you don't like raisins either! Everyone always thinks that I'm crazy for being turned off by the texture. And I totally agree, the grocery store hummus is not the best. I like it a lot from California Pizza Kitchen, sometimes I go and order extra just to take home. It's nice because you can tell that it's made fresh.

That IS funny about rasins. I like their taste but they make me feel funny when I smell them too strongly.

I love my dads curries and italian food. Pretty healthy stuff. .... Well. Not sure if its healthy. But I'm alive and well eh Favourite unhealthy food... Probably gingerbread men. If there's one in front of me it won't be for long ^^; Cannot STAND fast food. McDonalds.. Partially because of the way they make it. And partially because of the -darker- way they make it. You know what I'm talking about if you've seen those TV programs. Even if you don't I'm sure you've got a good idea. I can't claim to have a very healthy diet. It's healthy enough though I feel. I avoid at all costs fast foods and most takeaways. But I can't claim to be brilliant in eating an apple every day o.O

You know what I'm talking about if you've seen those TV programs. Even if you don't I'm sure you've got a good idea. I wholeheartedly agree...I can only tolerate a few fast food restaurants (if you can call them "restaurants") McDonald's, Taco Bell, Taco Bueno, Jack in the Box, Burger King, Burger Street, Sonic, Wendy's, Chick-Fil-A...are all examples where I either can't eat there, or what I can eat is limited to a few select things. Arby's is the only one off the top of my head that I can have no problems with...

Yes, I like Arby's too, wish there were more of them around here...
But just thinking about fast food in general makes me sick and completely kills my appetite, I don't understand how I could have eaten it once. Same with take out pizza, like Dominos or Pizza Hut, uuuugh....

Wendys is fast food? Down here they only sell icecream and milkshakes, which I suppose is fast food. Wendys icecream is just about the worst you can get in New Zealand and it's expensive. I haven't figured out why people buy it.

The Wendy's here sells overly-salty burgers. In the health craze, they're starting to sell tiny fruit bowls for $2, or fruit bowl platters with yogurt for $4. Not really worth it...it's not even fresh. Really crappy. Their Frosty is probably as close to ice cream as you can get...they have chili and stuff too...in fact, there was a scam where this lady had put someone's finger in her chili and attempted to sue Wendy's for it. It disgusts me how people would do anything for the Almighty Dollar...but that's another topic altogether.
Braum's...they sell ice cream and burgers too, but they're known for their ice cream...ugh my brother worked there for his first job, and he'd come home at 4AM every night, covered in grease, and up his arm to his elbow in stickiness from ice cream...it was disgusting. I vowed then to never work at a fast food restaurant...and again when he worked for Papa John's Pizza...and his car reeked of pizza from delivering them. Thank God now he's working in high-end food, with quality stuff.
There's only one pizza place I don't like though...that's the one next door to where I work...sometimes their bread tastes like freezer...it's nasty. It's a stand-alone restaurant, though.

Is anybody here vegetarian?

I also prefer a Subway to other fast food places.
Djgirl: I'm not a vegetarian, but I do prefer white meats as opossed to red meats.

I eat very little meat but I am not a vegetarian. Some members of my family have this gene that stops the body from properly regulating its iron levels so one day I might have to stop eating red meat for ever and maybe even start having leeches suck me.

Hey Arya,
That's pretty cute what you wrote, but I don't think someone can be a part-time vegetarian. It's one of those things, either you are or you aren't.
I've been veggie for over 10 years. If anybody is thinking about going all the way, I feel I could be a good source of info. for you. Don't be shy, give the plant kingdom a try! Hee Hee

my experience with Subway has been bad...before you could get your bread toasted, their bread was always stale. Now you don't notice for the toasting, though. ...I'd run to Quizno's in a heartbeat. ...and I suppose I'm a flexitarian...I eat the vegetarian diet whenever possible...at Pho restaurants I'll get tofu, at Chinese places I'll get vegetable lo mein, at the pizza place next door to my work I'll get salads...but it's by no means strict. If my b/f's mom cooks meat, I will eat it with no problem at all...she'll cook vegetarian meals sometimes though If my mom heard that I was eating a vegetarian diet, she'd be worried that I would be using it as an excuse to not eat...since I'm so thin, she's afraid I'm anorexic. So...it's a choice of either eat what she puts in front of me, or go to the doctor's and go through a string of tests I have no reason to take and have her worry endlessly...I just prefer the first option. I definately wouldn't call myself a vegetarian by any stretch of the imagination...but I do it when I can.

It's taken me a few years to get to the quasi-vegetarian state I'm in now. I really think meat is an addiction and you don't realise how much you crave it until you stop. Initially anyhow. Now the idea of eating any red meat or pork makes me feel sick. I would really love to become entirely vegetarian/vegan, but atm I'm still eating fish once or twice a week.
Anyhoo, for the three questions:
Favourite healthy food: Atm, as it is nearly summer here in Oz, salad! I've been making myself very simple salads of mixed lettuce, grated carrot, cucumber, chickpeas with a little lemon and pepper (or yummo organic pumpkin dip today, truly heavenly). I've been eating variations on this most days for weeks now, lol.
Favourite unhealthy food: Chocolate, especially good dark chocolate with nuts, as well as icecream.
Food I can't stand: Soft drinks, fast food, butter (except melted on toast), and BACON. Ugh! My dad insists on cooking bacon and eggs on toast on Saturday mornings, much to my horror and protests.

I'm very picky with food, so if I were to name all the food I don't like I'd be busy for a looooonggg while. My favorite healthy food is chicken. You can wake me up for chicken. ;D I also love strawberries a lot... especially with sugar on them (which is unhealthy, but strawberries in themselves are very healthy). My favorite non-healthy food is probably chocolate. I also eat a lot of things which have not-good-sugar in them, such as ice cream. ^-^ McDonalds is good too, but not the hamburgers or anything of the sort... I go to McDonalds for the chicken. It's the only fast-food shop thing which I like a lot.
