When you wake up, does anyone else here constantly feel like they've just been jolted back into their body? I mean sometimes I wake up smoothly, but more than half the time when I wake up it's to the feeling like my gut just moved three inches to the left.
Just wondering, heh. Also, has anyone here woken up but hasn't really been "fully" awake and just kinda hovered in that dream-like consciousness thinking about the coming day before their body wakes up after them? I can't tell you how often that happens to me.

I know what your talking about CM. When I first wake up it feels more like a jolt and sometimes it's so quick a jolt, that I have to close my eyes again for awhile.

I rarely get that exact sensation. More commonly, I will wake up and be in my body, but sort of not quite in it, almost like controlling it like a puppet.

Wow, those sensations are similar to what I get. Not all the time but once in awhile. That's why when I can I lay there usually trying to remember my dreams. Many times I just get out of bed and start with my day but it feels like I've jumped back in or have been jolted back in. Hmm, interesting... I wonder if I astral project but just don't remember anything.

When I wake up, I sometimes see the activity of my brain change from dream state to awake state...it looks like a fuzzy cloud or a plasma ball activity and is kinda cool. But most of the time when I wake up I get the feeling of the dream world just slipping away like air passing through the fingers and it seems to be the most annoying feeling, because I am trying to remember what a wonderful dream I had! I seem to wake up slowly though and when I do wake up I usually go back to sleep so that when I do wake up with a jolt, it is because I have gone to back to sleep and then woken up half an hour later when I have to leave the house in 10 or 15 minutes! I usually wake up and remain in bed feeling the real world, and it seems like there is a barrier to the dream world. I am thinking about what I dreamt although I cannot remember and what I should be doing next, getting up that is!

The feelings are similar to what I feel as well. It's kind of wierd. Like being underwater, unconcious and being dragged to the surface, completely shocked, and you breath. Not really knowing what happened. I'm usually very sensetive to everything; sheets, pillows, T-shirt tags, lumps in the mattress, the air, the temperature... every breath sounds like someone screams, but it's very quiet. My heart pounds in my head. But, then, I notice some little detail and awaken fully. It's usually my cat staring at me funny or attacking my foot.
Cute kitty.
