You sound a lot like me, Kity. But probably much more sane. Do you feel like your room is a safe place or does it frighten you? I used to be frightened of my room so I had to keep rearranging it until I felt better. Also, since I'm Catholic, I sprinkle holy water around my bed before I sleep. I also ask the archangel Michael to come protect me. Chamomile tea helps me fall asleep but I usually forget to make it before I go to bed. Sometimes I talk to my angels and they help me fall asleep... but other times they just get me really distracted. I used to play relaxing music. Do you have a lot of electronic things in your room? Those interfere with my sleep a lot and it helps when I unplug them. It makes the air seem much more quiet.

don't watch tv or sit on the pc right before going to sleep. a book or nature sounds are better to calm your brain. fear comes from attitudes. maybe you search there. FEARLESSNESS - Recognizing the Eternal Infinite Nature and Unconditional Love of the ALL-ONE-ness.
What is fear but an utter denial of the Living God-Source and God-Power within you? What is Fearlessness but utterly BEING the Living God-Source and God-Power within you? You have a body that is why you're much more powerful than any angels, beings etc that have no body. your god protects you always, you do not need any angels or else. what is FEAR? False Evidence Appearing Real. and those with a body love you.

Thanks for the tips. I will keep them in mind. I don't have any electronics in my bedroom, though, and I usually read before I go to bed, as I do find that is helpful. Nice acronym, Matthias! LOL. It does seem to sum up fear. But I believe my angels do protect me. I ask them for help often, and my requests almost always get answers. They are quite helpful.

I was told once that some people are afraid to sleep because they do not like the loss of control and they associate sleeping with death. I used to not let myself fall asleep and it became a habit for me to wake myself up. I had to practice just letting go and trusting that God will take care of me.

Again, you sound a lot like me. I live in an old house, too, and although I have never seen ghosts, I can feel them. My parents won't believe me, though, and they laugh when I tell them there are spirits in the basement. Even after my friends come over and start hearing voices...
But I have to trust that the angels are stronger than the spirits and they won't let anything hurt me.

Hmm... I'll ask my angels to help you. See if you can talk to them. Is there a certain part of your house that seems more "haunted" than the rest?

Thank you. I know my angels' names though, so I always ask them for assistance, so it's not a necessity. I don't want to leave you unprotected. Hmm...not exactly. Maybe our living room and basement...why?

Ah, okay. I thought that might be true, but I just wanted to be on the safe side, just in case. Thanks.

Shaelyn's right that my angels can be in two places at once. Don't worry! But I don't want you to feel like I'm forcing them upon you, either. You can ask them to go away and they won't be offended. I asked about "haunted" places in your house so I could send my angels to them and see if they would maybe help some of the spirits find a new place to live. Sometimes it helps to narrow things down so that instead of dealing with a general feeling of fear and unease in your house, you can focus on specific places that need to be fixed. Or at least keep the fear confined to those places and ask your angels to not let the spirits out into the places that are supposed to be safe, like your bedroom. I hope I'm not being too confusing...

Maybe the man with the beard is searching for the lady? Sometimes it's hard to tell if your mind is playing tricks on you or not. Do your parents know the history of your house? Or are they clueless like mine? Maybe it will turn out that these spirits are just really nice old people that don't know they are dead and are a bit confused as to why there are people living in their house... But I really don't know that much about ghosts and spirits. Maybe someone else has some advice. I would reccomend not talking to the spirits and talking to the angels instead. Try asking God to send you a lot of angels so they will fill your entire house. I hate that feeling that someone is watching you. Or when you hear things... it usually helps if I start talking to myself or singing at that point. It also helps a lot for me to remember that old houses are naturally creaky, rather dark, and a bit scary since that's just how they were built. Did your brother describe the bearded man after you saw the ghost or after you saw the ghost?
