Let the spring wait... winter's my season. I always come to new insights in winter which I put into practice in the other three seasons.

I read a book.
Neale Donald Walsch: Conversations with God.
Anyone else knows this book?

Saw it in the library, but I didn't experience the sort of "pull" I always get towards certain books I have to read. So I'll just wait and see if I'll read it in the future...

Gemma,
Which Conversations with God book did you read, 1,2, or 3? I've read all of them and enjoyed them very much.

I've read Conversations with God for teens. I saw the three volumes in the library and wanted to read them but thought I wouldn't start them for awhile and then I aquired CWG for teens and read it and it resonated with me a great deal.

Funnily enough, when my parents and I went to get our hair cut at my aunt's before I came to uni, we somehow got onto this topic! (I think it was cos all the Jehovah's Witnesses were invading her neighbourhood and then we drifted onto the topic of religion) Anyways, she'd read these three books and she said she had to make her husband read it, otherwise their marriage wouldn't be the same. She absolutely loved it and didn't feel guilty that she wasn't taking her kids to church any more, and that it's done something just to her and my uncle's lives in general. My parents were asking about it and she was giving them a few general things from it, and it was so good to finally hear something in real life that felt so familiar and "right" to me!
I'm going to have to look for it here, I think, when I have time and find my way around the libraries here!

I am reading the first volume and it makes me happy that lot of you know it. I was simply drawn towards this book, and the 10th chapter made some "warm lightning" in my heart.
Author: - I love you, you know it? God: - I know. I love you too.
I read it more than 10 times and it gave such an experience. It is so good to know that God LOVES us. I am not done with this bookk yt - I've only read some sentences but I have time, so I will read it, and hopefully I'll get the 2 and 3 volumes.
When I was studying theology, it didn't please me in many points and I thought: "God isn't a sort of computer - if you press the red key, you are dead, if you press the blue+red key, you will burn for some time before you can go into Heaven. Who can judge us better than God? He is in us, and we are in Him. He knows us better than we know ourselves. He knows of our penitence better than any priest.
And this book just confirmed my thoughts. I am happy that God let me found it.

How about you all go talk to God yourselves? I'm sure the experience will be much more gratifying. =) He's no farther than your own heart, after all. ^_^
